Just got the bundle, LETS GO!!!
This bundle is awesome
im loving all 6 aircraft so far, thanks gotfriends ![]()
Is it too much to ask that your 40th anniversary upgrade package could also made be available to the marketplace for 4.99 ? ![]()
Agree! All aircraft is great to fly and play around with! Great buy!
For the small sim of £4 you get 6 really fun aircraft. It’s worth it for the Lake Skipper alone.
I’m on PC so didn’t need to buy it but GotFriends do some great work so wanted to show my support.
Hope this also means they continue to get updated.
I’m currently having a mod free month as well to see if the sim stability improves so less faffing with the community folder is a bonus.
My only concern would be if the below two bugs still exist with the MXA, need to confirm as it’s been a while:
- Unable to raise landing gear once in the water.
- MFDs randomly powering off requiring a restart.
EDIT: Just tested and the issue was with raising the landing gear once in the water and that still exists. Lowering the gear after landing in water and moving to ground works without issue.
MFD bug is exist on XBox
Thanks, GotFriends for releasing this pack onto the marketplace! I spent all morning trying out all the planes and they’re all incredibly fun. The Vertigo in particular surprised me, what a hoot!
A little while ago I reported a bug to Got Friends, presumably the same one mentioned above by @GrungeSlayer, where the avionics in the MXA would stop working about ten minutes after a cold and dark start. Runway starts, so far as I could tell, were unaffected by this.
I was curious to see if this bug had been fixed, so I plotted a flight from Perth in Scotland down to the port of Campbeltown to find out.
At first all went well. But then I went into external view to take a screenshot, and when I came back all my avionics were dead.
I began working the Master and Avionics switches to see if I could get the avionics back, and I did.
But.
Here is a shot of the positions the switches should be in.
Here is a shot of the switches’ position taken after the incident. (Sorry about the quality, it’s cropped from a VR headset screenshot taken when the plane was flying into the sun.)
Note that the Master switch is now in the wrong position.
I was able to complete a flight of 1 hr 18 min without losing the avionics again. But at one point I did lose the ability to control AP On/Off, Nav, Hdg and Alt through my bindings, though the in-cockpit switches still worked. Then, a little later, the bindings started working again.
I finished my flight by landing in Campbeltown Loch and taking a slipway ashore (sorry, GrungeSlayer, I put the landing gear down in the water but didn’t try raising it again):
a successful flight - just not quite as successful as I hoped.
I’ll just add that if you fly in VR and you don’t try the MXA (just do a runway start) you’re denying yourself a real treat.
Thanks for the observations I’ll check if again I catch the MFD bug.
With regards to moving from land to water I’ve tested this in a few locations now and the MXA definitely doesn’t want to do it.
My first through was that it was a sim limitation so I took the Asobo ICON A5 for a spin. That aircraft happily goes from water to land and back to water again, whilst still allowing the landing gear to be retracted for takeoff.
The MXA gets marooned if you’re unlucky to taxi onto land and there isn’t a landing strip to take off from, which would kinda of be the reason you went in a seaplane in the first place
Slew mode is of course an option.
EDIT: If you hit “Y” (slew mode keybind) twice once in the water that seems to retract the landing gear so that you can takeoff.
@DigitalJonx what’s the chances of this being fixed now the MXA is on the marketplace? When it was freeware it was kinda fair enough…but now…please fix ![]()
A useful tip - I’ll bear it in mind.
No problem, be aware if your stationary it does seem to stop the engine but thats pretty normal for slew mode.
Windshield De-Ice doesn’t seem to work on the MonsterNX. Was a tough landing ![]()
It’s a known bug to Got Friends and Asobo. It’s the way that mesh piece is joined in the Asobo model, which cant be fixed by Got Friends since they are only merging additions into the stock model. It would require an updated model from Asobo, which they don’t seem to be planning to touch until possibly MSFS 2024.
After getting around to spending a decent amount of time in each and every one of these-I still think the Monster NX is the hero among heros of the group-I can’t wait to see what a real G3X does for these. This set and the RV’s will be reborn again with new avionics.

Thanks for good add-ons and good luck !
Thank you so very much for this! I originally purchased for 2020, and my Discord group and I use several of these planes regularly in 2024 and are having a blast. Everyone appreciates the low price, and because of your Got Friends awesomeness, I have purchased all of your marketplace content, as well as several of my flight buddies. Cheers! Keep up the great work! Got Friends rocks!!!
