[Released] Hondajet for MSFS

Thanks for the reply. Do you know what the CPL and CSC buttons are for on the autopilot panel?

No. This is misinformation in the Marketplace description. The G3000 if fully implemented.

Just found this in the POH:

Cruise Speed Control
Cruise Speed Control (CSC) is an AFCS and FADEC function that
modulates engine N1 output within a limited authority band to maintain
the aircraft’s airspeed or Mach number at the time of engagement. Once
engaged, the CSC target cannot be changed without disengaging the
mode.
The function is engaged by pressing the CSC button on the AFCS Mode
Control Panel when Altitude Hold (ALT) is the active vertical Flight
Director mode, airspeed rate is stable (less than 0.85 kt/sec), speed is
between LSA + 10 kts and VMO/MMO, and SYNC is the active engine
control mode.

Not sure if this is implemented by the dev. Going to try it out today on a quick flight.

And looks like CPL is the “Couple” button. Only thing in the POH is:

PFD1 or PFD2 data can be used by the FD and is selected using the CPL
button. Active PFD is indicated by a green arrow in the FMA.

You can take the monthly subscription £8pm for one month and try it. You can start/stop at any time.

Definitely worth it on pc - less clear for one plane on xbox

I just completed my first HJET flight on Xbox and it has been awesome. I went up to 43,000 ft, in live weather, quite windy and cloudy over Portugal right now. The aircraft behaves wonderfully, it is a joy to fly and manage. It also looks fantastic which always helps.

I noticed only one gripe: after landing, there is simply no way to cut off the engines. I play with only a controller (no mouse) and the throttle levers cannot be put into the “Cut off” position. There’s not even a button for it like in the F/A-18, in which you cut off the engines with the X button (after highlighting the corresponding throttle lever). Even if you turn the plane off with the shortcut, the engines keep running because the throttles aren’t pulled back. It would be nice if the developer could adjust this.

Other than that, this plane is just perfect. I love it. :+1:

Had my first flight in this jet yesterday. It’s a lot of fun to fly and well worth the money.
VNAV was rough, and requires a lot of management, as well as the unnerving sudden high rates of decent that seemed to happen in my case. Saying that I greased the landing which was a surprise.
A shame it didnt come with no documentation, but I understand thats getting worked on.
Only other thing I noticed, I just felt the displays lacked resolution. Just seemed less defined and harder to read.
Saying that, as I said, well worth the money and will only get better with updates.

Not sure about Xbox, but on PC you have to use the mouse to switch the throttles from idle to cutoff position. This doesn’t work with a game controller

You can link a mouse to the XBOX

If it works with a mouse, it should work with the cursor via a game controller (as opposed to just pushing the ‘throttle down’ bound button). Haven’t tried it yet though.

Xbox users have to use mouse to move to cut-off as well. Also, I can’t get bindings to work for APR, VS, FLC, ALT, etc. and have to use mouse but that’s fine as there are so many other things that do work and are completely new for xbox users…

I thought the navigraph charts were just static but noticed the position of aircraft is shown on the charts which is even more useful and not possible on xbox when using navigraph charts outside on another device like ipad.

I tried it with the cursor, highlighted the throttle lever, tried to move it, but it only goes back to idle, not to cut off. Even tried “dragging” it like with a mouse, to no avail. :slightly_smiling_face: Small thing, it doesn’t really matter that much after parking the plane anyway, it would just be nice to watch/hear the engines wind down.

For anyone having a ctd when trying to do save VFR view, this is a very easy fix involving adding two lines to your cameras.cfg file as explained here: "VFR Pilot Save View" causes CTD in M20R and F-14 - #4 by phobos8287

Hey, I didn’t mean that your post implied elitism. I see a lot of hate towards the fact that it being available on xbox somehow hinders addon developers in many threads in this forum and other forums. That’s what I meant by elitism. Also many say its a game, not a sim, others say its a sim and not a game and does not belong in XBOX. How does it matter? Can’t it cater to both audiences? That’s what I meant when I said I hate PC elitism. Also I think you raised the same points that I did but without a lot of explanation, that might have offended the original poster.

In the F-18 you can hold a left click and then click right to move throttles to cutoff. Might work here too.

Your points are fare. But you have to realise that xbox version is not even a year old. And they didn’t even realise about the wasm limitation untill pmdg tried to release the DC-6 in xbox late last year. If you are interested you should follow that whole fiasco with users having paid for but not being able to fly the aircraft. And that caused a lot of headache for pmdg. This may have dissuaded other smaller Dev’s from trying out xbox versions. They just want the xbox platform to mature before they spend dev effort there. A lot of the Dev’s are from old school sims like fax / ped, they don’t have the habit of having their add-ons working in an restrictive environment. I am surprised too how many external tools actually need admin privileges to run on pc without clear reasons why. They will need time to adapt to this new type of env. I am sure it will happen, just that it’s a slow process. Flight sim development is slow. The pc version is out for almost two years now, and only now we are seeing some truly detailed well simulated add-ons. That should give you a hint.

And if you go through my posts, you will see that I have nothing but defending PMDG / Other devs for not being on XBOX yet. The platform is not yet completely ready until the WASM issues are fixed. I know SU 10 is supposed to have the fix. But its a new feature in xbox so there may be bugs as well, realistically I am expecting a couple of more sim updated (for potential bug fixes) before the WASM issues are completely fixed in the XBOX. That’s the price you have to pay to be on XBOX. And I understand why fenix and lsh md82 will probably never be on XBOX as they depend on external applications. There are other limitations too like managing free liveries, at least pc users get liveries for free from flightsim.to, pmdg ops centre etc. XBOX users have some paid livery packs for the default A320, that’s a really sad limitation and I feel bad for the XBOX users.
I love this addon no question. But will I give up any of the more complicated addons that I own (fenix a320, pmdg 737, jf 146 pro, lsh md82) for this? Not at all. If it was the other way around? Sure. So I also agree comparing this with FENIX/PMDG/JF146 is not fare at all, they are much more complicated add-ons and in different price class. I am just happy for the XBOX users that they now have something decent to fly.

that’s absolutely true but you have to understand how groundbreaking in a sense this release is for xbox users; it’s not even the plane itself but the fact that comes with the g3000 and first time navigraph integrated even with the tracker

this alone is a huge leap and the plane being at least good is icing on the cake

the planes you mentioned are right now the top notch ones and two out of free are at least announced to be on xbox so the morale right now is pretty high and finally i have to say after the disastrous wu9 launch

Thats what I said in my post, I know there is a monthly subscription option. Personally I dont use it. I use an app called airmate. Its a bit clunky to use and coverage is not 100%, charts don’t follow the same format, but its free.

Question.

The advertised KTAS is 430.

Why, then, am I seeing a red band and over speed warning at 270 on the tape?

Am I missing something here?

I’ve overstressed it four times.

Your speed tape shows indicated airspeed, not true airspeed. At high altitude you’re mach limited.
