hello
i’m on xbox s
after the last update I’m having ctd and black screens which almost never happened, at moment unusable
i am using the lite version, only once i was able to take off but black screens soon after
hope for the best
tks
just to give an example, I set an ams dus flight after closing the sim and turning it on again, everything was ok for a few minutes, when I entered the vfr map, black screens
Is the VNAV descent not working for anyone else? Before TOD I set the altitude to descend to but it never starts the descent, and I never get the vertical deviation indicator either.
worked fine for me earlier. did you dial in a lower altitude on the autopilot panel prior to hitting your tod?
I did. Do you have to re-arm the VNAV? I’ve heard it being mentioned that you need to re-arm it but I just turn it on when I engage the autopilot and leave it on for the rest of the flight.
i armed vnav once, like you, when i kicked the autopilot on. i was hoping my suggestion would work for you because i am not sure what else to recommend. it worked perfectly for me.
sorry, i am out of ideas.
Same here, black screens and CTD on xbox S since last update.
I just tried to fly from Porto, third-party scenario, direct to Faro, a few minutes after take-off black screens, last night a flight in to the USA on standard scenarios a few minutes after arrival black screens
then to make a new flight you always have to reinitialize the sim at least for me
too bad because it would be a fantastic plane and it was fine before the last update
Sorry its a bit late but just came across this. I am struggling to set up the LVAR for Hjet. I can’t seem to find an online snippet that gives me the option. In plain simple terms how do I set things up as you have quoted please?
I love the upgrade, but am bummed about not having charts anymore. Anyone know how to turn the voice back on for altitude reporting? Autothrottle is a game changer, litterally!
I had a strange moment in my last flight: when I selected a direct to the waypoint ATC told me to, the autopilot wanted to do a full circle:
I tried it a few more times and I got a new circle on my current position each time. When later I was told to go direect to another waypoint I had no issues, only RAVSA.
Also, is it true to life that autothrust does not turn off when you disengage autopilot? Previously it turned both off.
I had the same issue u til I pulled back my throttle to idle, then it started descending. Then I had to modulate my throttles on the way down to maintain the target speed. Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to work or not with the auto throttle version activated in the menu?
Turns out I was flying this whole flight without the auto throttle turned on…oops! Still learning!
a good news
after so many problems finally a perfect flight and with vnav ok
xbox s with airplane lite version
only old anomaly, runway lights off and floating taxi lights
VNAV works for me too. You need to turn VNAV on in the FMS, set a lower target ALT and then hit the VNAV button on the AP.
Autothrottle definitely does not turn off when autopilot is turned off. The idea is that you can hand-fly a decent amount of the approach, but you should shut off autothrottle I believe 200 feet (400?) above runway.
Note that the autothrottle in the Longitude is meant to be left on until you’ve landed and stopped…it “retards” the throttle to idle at 50 feet AGL.
Most aircraft with AT have POH notices that indicate AT is never to be engaged while handflying period - that’s not necessarily just during T/O and Approach/Landing Phases. If for some reason you must disconnect AP, also disconnect AT. AT being turned off by itself doesn’t necessarily disable AP though.
Can anyone tell me how to zoom in and out of the map when splitting the PFD?
Left most knob on the GTC. The “rotate” option using the base of the knob. The click-spot is a little finicky to find. And only on the GTC controlling that pane.
And the same knob is actually a joystick…left and right selects the current active Pane. The color-coding right above the knob shows which panes it controls (blue or teal). It’s a bit confusing, but I have it mostly figured out…I think.
