RELEASED! Just Flight Bae146 "the Little Jumbojet" April 29th

The original price was already a bargain, for me. But now I’m rubbing my hands in actual glee at the price haha.

Just need that pesky WASM issue to be solved with the Series X…

There are coding issues that will prevent this from happening until they are fixed.

Thank you for listening to the community! I think your total revenue will double, or triple, with this new pricing scheme! A very smart move by Just Flight!

So excited for this plane. Already planning regional flights I want to do when it’s out. Was already happy with the old pricing for what we were getting, and now I’m even more excited about its value! Now its just a waiting game for me and to finalize the routes I want to ply first with this plane.

I’ll be buying this from day three… once someone has done a Ansett NZ…
But…

I’ll be flying what was called the Golden tourism triangle of Auckland-Queenstown-Rotorua via Christchurch

This has gone from a definite no (I couldn’t justify the old price) to a very likely yes for me. I really appreciate JF taking on board user feedback, just like they did with the Arrows (which remain my favourite 3rd party aircraft to date).

Can’t wait! Thanks for the update.

Also a yes for me now. Really appreciate the update, and now I can keep my Just Flight collection complete.

I normally dont write in these forums but I think this is important enough to tell you guys what difference this have made for me.

When the initial price was announced I had second thoughts buying the 146, especially since I wouldn’t benefit from any discount because I have neither p3d/xp version. I havent pulled myself to reinstall p3d for years and I ditched XP long before the 146 for XP was out.
However I do consider myself somewhat of an “in depth” simmer. So after reading about the price change I don’t have any more second thoughts and will buy it the day it comes out. So, all in all, thank you JF for all your hard work and effort you do bringing such a wonderful aircraft to the community!

The price correction absolutely makes all the difference - I had the FSX version from JF and still have that receipt and I thank them for their consideration.
A VERY commendable consideration for their customer base has been made.
The 146 was the only airliner type that I flew in flight sim because it has so many unique aspects compared to the run of the mill types and because JF did such a great job on all of the details of it. Looking forward to having it in MSFS as soon as possible.

The announced reduction in pricing (was that $79.99 USD official, or just speculated?) is certainly welcome. I have been excited about this project since I first learned of it and the quirky little BAe-146!

OmG! When?!

I think… Soon™

I saw mention of by the end of April, but I can’t recall where I saw that.

More pics of the variants and some liveries updated on 8 April dev blog. That cargo bay is amazingly detailed.

This isn’t the kind of plane I tend to fly so although I’ve been watching the previews and updates on progress and been mightily impressed (it’s JF in-house after all!!) it wasn’t on my radar for a purchase.

However, something changed in my mind and now I’m really sure I’ll be buying it! The price shift may be something to do with it but there’s more than that. I just think the offering (all the variants etc) is very good value (even at the first price) and the plane looks amazing. There’s something special about it and it fills a unique role in the sim so yep, it’s welcomed into to my hangar now!!

Jetliners bore me, if I’m honest. The idea of sitting in an A320 for hours doing very little except providing redundancy to an admittedly very sophisticated computer is not for me. I prefer the challenge of GA aircraft, and stuff with little automation.

But, the 146 has appealed to me for years. It has some automation but at the same time it is different, quirky, and like it is alive, almost like it has a soul. I will absolutely, definitely be buying it upon release. It’s a unique piece of aviation history.

There’s a sweet spot for me of airliners from the late 80s into the 90s where they provide enough automation to allow a relatively inexperienced airline pilot like me to fly them but without taking away the experience of actually flying the plane.
I’m really hoping the 146 will hit that spot.

I think the 2 paragraphs from their In Development posts that sold me on it are:

Just like the real aircraft, our 146 is a joy to hand-fly in MSFS. The mixture of ‘old and new’ technology, unique configuration and operations, and stunning visuals and true-to-life Wwise sounds combine to make an incredibly immersive experience!

And:
The cockpit is equipped with extensive engine instrumentation but the start-up procedure is logical and quick to master.
