Oh yeah please do. Any screenshots would be cool to see. Thanks! Can’t wait for this one
I’m so thankful for the Gantry! Can’t wait for the release. I’m sitting at my sim developing stuff and wearing my Space Force cap…
I need to dig up photos and videos I have for you.
Looking great, thank you for sharing!
My only note is the shuttle/747- The 747-800 was never used for carrying the shuttle.
Is it just too hard to make a static 747-400 NASA version, thus having to use the default sim 800 version?
Will you give it a NASA livery tho?
Looks great, cant wait for this.
Yeah - there is actually a free add on:
I will probably add some code that places this at the location, and if the user doesn’t have that, I will replace it with default 747, as you see in the screenshots
Perhaps in the updates I may get a 3D model of the appropriate aircraft - right now this is not a priority.
Fair enough, thanks. Sounds good.
I’m on Xbox, so the freeware doesn’t apply to users like me.
Aha, ok, got it! We will then endeavor to create a dedicated model with the correct paint and geometry for one of the updates (the SCA 747 has a specific tail geometry)
Sweet thanks!
Great job! Seriously. I only just found this and have been running xb version for some time due to ease of use.
I fly out here at KSC regularly, and my wife works on Artemis. If y’all need detailed photos of any particular area, the only place i dont have access is behind all the various fenced sites or the places im specifically not allowed to photo, like the NORL but otherwise its open season.
One thing id suggest (and im afraid to do so in fear of it taking longer to be available) as part of this, add the lighthouse on CCSFS, and add KTIX to the mix.
The lighthouse is a staple location and the sands space history center on CCSFS has several rockets on their side, and a Mercury/Redstone on the pad by the original blockhouses.
Pad 34 for Apollo 1 as well…
Elon Musk regularly flies out of TIX when he visits KSC, and theres a warbird museum on the field that has a lot of stuff out there.
All looks great! Thank you!
Hi, thanks, that’s some excellent suggestions, and good to hear! For this initial release, we are concentrating on the VAB area, including the crawlerway, pads 39A and B, and Shuttle Landing Facility, plus industrial area all the way down to Booster Fabrication Facility (L6-247). However, we will be issuing regular FREE updates, since, as we realized, that is the best way to promote products on MSFS marketplace. This area is of such a historical significance that there are ALWAYS things that can be added and improved on. Adding to that the “temporal” nature of this project, there will be plenty of items to work on and showcase. Plus, as promised, we will implement full on-demand rocket launches, observable from the ground or while in flight! That, however, is still in the works, and it won’t be available in this initial release.
Since you mentioned the lighthouse on CCSFS - this area is actually our next target of coverage, so again, great to hear that would be a popular landmark to include!
And yes, of course, we would LOVE if you could supply us with some reference pics. One area I can think of right now is the transformer substation just off the Kennedy Parkway and opposite of VAB Rd. Thanks!!
If you guys need specific ref photos that arent available, i have access out there and would be happy to help, just DM me.
I am so anxious for this add-on!
Cannot wait to see it!!!
You and me both. The passion I see going into this project is very exciting.
Take my money.
Yeah what they said, take my monies
A quick update on Work in progress! Here are the VERY early stages of Pad39B, mostly ground poly layout and positioning/fitment. Most structures have temporary texturing.
How’s September looking?
