Iāve been tracking these in real life too, water based ground effect āsemiā aircraft have quite a long history and still in active development.

What adjustments did you make and how did you get the smoke?
āA few adjustmentsā was an understatement. In fact the changes are numerous and deep.
Almost all files are modified, some have even been added.
Therefore it would be too difficult and time consuming to give the changes here in writing.
The possible solution would be to provide you with a zip file of the complete MountainSkipper.
But for that I need the permission of the GotFriends team.
Itās their work that I only modified, the idea belongs to them.
And maybe they want to develop their own version ?

looks like you basically removed almost all of the custom ground effect code?
As the project is freeware, we welcome all modifications. You can feel free to post a Mountain Skipper mod that replaces those files. As long as it isnāt a standalone aircraft package, that way we still retain initial downloads.
If you need help making a replacement/enhancement package, please PM me the files and Iāll happily put it together for them in this matter and send it back to you to host.

Yes indeed the results of the ground effect are almost non-existent.
But the needs are different.
Over water the surface is flat (I havenāt seen sloping water until now 
) and the ground effect only depends on the height chosen by the pilot.
In mountain riding the height of the ground below the plane varies constantly, and we fly over trees and other surfaces.
In this case the ground effect is more annoying than anything else.
I preferred to focus on the stability and precision.
Any chance freeware like this one and the Fokker Dr.1 are ever added into the MSFS Marketplace?
It would be great for XBox users too.

The Mountain Skipper can spawn in air, or take-off and land on runways or water.
The Mountain Skipper can make ābelly slidesā on snow or grass with particles effects.
The Mountain Skipper have airbrakes for steep descents.
Have a look at the rudder when using airbrakes. Itās a DigitalJonxās idea and realization !
He also create the cockpit flaps lever and smoke switch on panel.
