Hi folks, I have a TCA Airbus quadrant, and I can’t seem to find a combination for working the flaps. Anyone figure this out?

honestly - I’m a little disappointed in the mad dog… I wish I would have waited for a sale or for some better textures… This is straight out of P3D.

I sure will be buying, but in a short period of time, when more tutorials for dumb pilots like me are available, and the process of interacting with it (TCA quadrant configuration, etc) is ironed out, so I can spend my time learning the aircraft, instead of fighting with the simulator interface.
I have very fond memories of the MD-8X series, with Iberia, Spanair and Alitalia. Noisiest aircraft I ever flew on, but boy, being by that rear left engine was cool…
Also my fastest flight ever, from Los Rodeos to Barajas, in an Spanair MD-83. 1054 km/h GS thanks to favourable tailwinds, the fastest that crew ever made that route, acording to the captain.
My most sincere gratitude to the developer. I have spent so much in hardware and airports for this simulator while waiting for quality airliners (probably would have given up the sim if it was not for the FBW team), now I´m not going to complain for 90 euros (in fact, if someone is willing to make a quality A350, I will not ask about the price, but only say, “Shut up and take my money!”)
I couldn´t care less if this particular aircraft comes straight from P3D. All I know is MSFS desperately needs complex airliners, and today I have an option I didn´t have yesterday. For me that´s great.

Best way to learn the aircraft is Flyingmoose’s tutorial on the Leonardo. He starts by going over the peculiarities of both the mod and the aircraft. Pretty sure he goes over ACARS and then starts a small flight. I started flying the P3D plane by watching him.
I know a lot of casual are going to be passing over this aircraft for the price but it’s actually , imo, probably a better aircraft than PMDG 737

What makes it a better aircraft than the PMDG?
It has better LNAV/VNAV than the PMDG 737. It also has failures/random failures. This aircraft is really a “study level” aircraft while PMDG is more like an high fidelity with poor LNAV/VNAV. PMDG has been promoting their lnav 2.0 update for a long time. I am uncertain whether the PMDG 737 in MSFS has it.
So does the PMDG 737. I don’t think you can really compare these aircraft but just based on features & complexity I’d say they’re even. Note that the 737 will get more features after release, including an EFB. I also think the 737 will be cheaper. Can’t speak on LNAV/VNAV. From what I’ve seen on streams it seemed fine.

PMDG 737 still have issue flying complex approach. There is a lot of thread on the PMDG forums about that.

Not sure it’s better than PMDG. This bird reminds me a bit of the CRJ - not sure why, just does.

Nothing like the CRJ. This works for a start. No MK BS about how it’s the best thing ever or excuses and blame as to why not. it just works, it is study level truly, it is fantastic.

How to install new liveries?
I downloaded few but I don’t know where the livery manager expects to find them.
In your documents, have you tried dropping them inside Maddog X Files/MSFS 2020/Liveries?
Documents:
C:\Users<USERNAME>\Documents\Maddog X Files\MSFS 2020\Liveries
Just drop the zip file in there.
Can people please stop wasting posts with “I am not going to buy it becuase of the textures” Ok wonderful, good for you, completely discount the experince and the fidelity of the plane, and concentrate on small non issues! Nobody cares! Go fly the wonderfully textured but lacking defaults.
