Unfortunately this is a special feature. You need to disable airframe stress damage in the realism settings, then you can open doors and storm windows in flight.
then its not accurate to real world, as they flew Hueys in Vietnam with open doors.
thats why it should be able to either way.
Just bought it on PS5 another fantastic addition to my virtual hanger. It was also a nice surprise to find some additional scenery to go with it.
Hopefully there are plans to release the miltech mission creator on PS5 at some point.
All PS5 content is curated by Microsoft - so at this time we can’t confirm what other products will be released, or when that will occur.
So far, only MH60 has been selected.
Hopefully microsoft will eventually release it. Its still great helicopter to fly especially in VR but having missions to fly would be the cherry on top
Couldn’t have bought this fast enough!
However in only 5 minutes I’ve found it’s unfortunately basically unflyable on my PS5 - heaps of lag in external view, then when in cockpit view the avionics won’t load/get turned off by the system to save memory. Which means you have no information to fly the helo from inside the cockpit.
Not sure what the solution is but I’m sad to be disappointed, been refreshing the feed once or twice a week since MSFS24 PS5 launch months ago waiting for the MH.
This is, unfortunately, due to the Console memory management issues introduced with SU5. Asobo is working on an update to address this problem: PS5 & Xbox: Memory management completely broken after SU5
It’s a widespread MSFS issue, affecting nearly all aircraft. However, a Beta version of the new update has been recently made available, which you can opt into, and greatly improves the experience while the update is officially released.
Details on how to enter the 5.1 Beta here: [READ FIRST] Welcome to the Sim Update 5.1 Beta!
Legend, thank you so much. Fingers crossed, this launch has been the highlight of my week so far in any case!
Was considering picking this up in the sale, but I understand its not currently career mode compatible. I appreciate that you have the mission generator, but I’m wondering whether there are plans to make the MH-60 career compatible in the future?
it runs fine in 2D mode, but whenever I’m playing in PSVR2 whole game drops to 20FPS and stutters every few seconds:
the flight model is weird, kinda similar to new broken Bell 407, where rolling has little to no effect on turning and you can seemingly strafe no problem. maybe its just that powerful to do that, I’m no expert, but rolling on side should make it turn more than strafe?
rotor folding was disabled for better compatibility/smoother performace so I suggest turning off even more not flight crucial mechanics like pylon jettisoning which doesnt work anyways just make rockets disapear from the racks…
Please note this may also relate to the PS5 Memory management issue: PS5 & Xbox: Memory management completely broken after SU5
The SAS system automatically coordinates turns above 60 knots (and more effectively, over 80). Under that speed, roll has to be combined with pedal. Above that speed, only roll will get you in a turn, with little to no pedal required (the more speed, the less pedal you may need).
Under that speed, pedal will only get you to yaw, and roll will only accelerate the aircraft sideways. This is to aid hover and maneuverability at low speeds.
It is not due to performance - but rather because rotor folding unfortunately breaks the “Interpolated rotor animations”. We can’t have both at once, so the logical solution was removing the folding.
Weapon animations is not allowed on console (PS5/Xbox) due to MSFS Marketplace policy. We can only show static, cosmetic weapons which are inherently “Boolean” in nature - on/off. We can’t depict any animation on them, including jettison. At this time, we only jettison the rockets themselves, not the rack - will look into it.
No plans for Career mode in the immediate term, as we continue to expand our Mission Hub platform - but we don’t rule out that we may implement it at some point.
Please also note that career mode is closed off for any copies sold outside MS Marketplace, which also accounts for the majority of users of this aircraft.
thank you for very detailed reply.
I guess then I wish we could use purchased aircraft in the beta as it currently runs better..
also what I noticed is when MGs are enabled they just spawn inside and you have to manually click on them to deploy them through the windows and closing windows will clip them not close them back
enabling 0.50 cals only opens right door but spawns both MGs
and in 3rd person view there are generic soldier models for pilot and copilot instead of only my pilot that I created in the game.
This is by design - Most pilots in MSFS are civilian-looking, which doesn’t quite fit the aircraft. The pilots depicted here have custom, accurate equipment.

I have a question. So, I was taking my time starting up the MH-60 because I was testing some different performance settings in the simulator and my battery died while starting the engine. Does the APU not charge the battery? I had the APU gen on and yet I received a low charge warning and aborted startup when starting the engines.
This is a known bug, fixed in an upcoming update: Miltech Simulations - Bug Tracker
You can use purchased aircraft in Beta - I thought the same thing but it just took a while for them to appear.
Unfortunately though the avionics still doesn’t load in Beta, it’s just stuck on a ‘Loading’ spinning wheel the whole flight
This is due to Addon Support DLC missing from your PS5 MSFS installation. You probably see something like this when selecting the aircraft:
You need to install the Addon Support DLC for this (and many other 3rd party aircraft) to work correctly. You should be automatically prompted to install if you do a full restart of your console. If you are not automatically prompted, please contact MSFS Marketplace support and they’ll guide you through the process: https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
PS: Please remember that due to the forum rules, support is only offered via our official channels: Contact
I had this error on volocopter after installing this DLC support update on my PS5..
Contact MS team, they’ll guide you through the process. It’s quite common for the first install of a WASM-enabled aircraft (which the Volocopter is), but will run fine after it.
how do I do that?
I can’t find anything about this error online…
