[RELEASED] Miltech Simulations MH-60, in Partnership with Blackbird!

Just a quick update!

:helicopter: MH-60 “1-Year Anniversary” Update V1.1.5
The V1.1.5 update is expected to release next week for FS24, with the FS20 version following shortly after. Full changelogs will be posted here over the next couple of days. Note that the FS20 and FS24 updates carry different changelogs and will therefore be released separately.

MH-60 “One Year Anniversary” Update V1.1.5 Changelog (MSFS 2024) - Released 06 August 2026

  • [IMPROVED] Pedal effectiveness and fuselage drag adjusted against real MH-60 data: tail rotor authority adjusted, front drag now matches the dirty MH-60S flat-plate figure, side-slip reaction softened; yaw response no longer “violent” in cruise

  • [IMPROVED] Speed-dependent pedal washout: full pedal authority in the hover, washing out linearly with speed.

  • [IMPROVED] Loss of cyclic authority at zero collective main rotor now keeps slightly positive blade pitch at minimum collective

  • [IMPROVED] Torque simulation and rotor spool up/down speed.

  • [FIXED] Rotor Nr at ground idle now settles in the 50–60% band (was ~93%)

  • [FIXED] Nr overspeed limiter above 100%

  • [IMPROVED] SAS attitude hold smoothed

  • [ADD] Cyclic beep trim: lateral/longitudinal rotor-trim keybinds now offset the SAS target attitude in AUTO TRIM mode.

  • [FIXED] Rotor trim no longer resets on ground contact unless SAS + TRIM are active

  • [FIXED] AFCS heading hold drift, pedal deadzone added to prevent drift on AFCS Modes.

  • [IMPROVED] Autopilot disconnect on input, thresholds adjusted

  • [ADD] Hover modes exit cleanly on deliberate cyclic input

  • [ADD] Cruise speed “beep”: with attitude hold engaged, cyclic trim adjusts the target airspeed in 6 kt steps

  • [ADD] Autostart (Ctrl+E) and auto-shutdown (Ctrl+Shift+E) support added.

  • [FIXED] Engine starter no longer springs back instantly: hold the starter with PCLs OFF and NG dry-motors to ~16% without “spring back”.

  • [FIXED] Bleed air is now required to start the engines (APU or cross-bleed)

  • [FIXED] APU now charges the battery (generator load curve corrected)

  • [FIXED] Rotor governor force-on corrected

  • [IMPROVED] Custom torque indication simulation.

  • [FIXED] Windshield wipers are time-based (no longer tied to frame rate)

  • [FIXED] Water drop timing is timer-based (no longer tied to frame rate)

  • [ADD] MSN nav source now fully functional on the HSI — course, bearing, distance, ident, TO flag and CDI lateral deviation

  • [ADD] Waypoint data in the PFD’s MSN source block: ident, bearing and distance to the next waypoint, shown when MSN is selected

  • [ADD] Active flight plan leg painted GREEN on both the PFD and MD maps, advancing as legs sequence

  • [ADD] Already-flown legs and their waypoint icons are removed from the maps as you pass them

  • [FIXED] Search patterns now become a real, valid sim flight plan to enable GPS tracking, green leg and sequencing

  • [IMPROVED] Waypoints show real facility idents instead of USR labels

  • [FIXED] Tablet (EFB) routes no longer lose SID/STAR waypoints

  • [FIXED] Map Airspaces, navaids and airports failing to load until a flight restart

  • [FIXED] Flight plan entry freeze in the INS planner

  • [FIXED] HSI TO/FROM indicator now displayed for all nav sources

  • [FIXED] PFD HDG readout no longer flickers between 000 and 360

  • [IMPROVED] FLIR merged into the Mission Display as a single gauge entry to prevent loading issues.

  • [IMPROVED] MFD DSP BRT rocker switch to adjust screen brightness

  • [ADD] hPa/inHg altimeter toggle: keyset CONFIG page setting

  • [FIXED] Instrument camera views improvements: view 2 is Overhead and view 5 is Centre Console on all variants

  • [IMPROVED] AFCS lat/long/alt knobs and all 4 ICS volume knobs rebuilt with full tooltips (title, description, live value) and click+drag interaction

  • [IMPROVED] Lat/long hover velocity knobs use 1 kn increments

  • [FIXED] Cockpit emissive decals no longer lit without electrical power; lights and keyset are dead with battery off

  • [ADD] EGI realistic alignment time (optional, keyset CONFIG toggle)

  • [FIXED] EFB no longer flickers in and out of visibility when detached with TAB

  • [FIXED] Crew/pilot models no longer flicker visible/invisible

  • [FIXED] Door sounds work for all opening methods, including removed doors and native exit commands

  • [FIXED] Removed doors no longer sound as if closed

  • [ADD] COM1/COM2 volume keybinds

  • [FIXED] Aircraft ATC ID reports as “MH-60”

  • [FIXED] Glareshield and Cabin Light switches and VFX.

  • [IMPROVED] Long-distance LODs slightly improved

  • [FIXED] Antenna fixtures AO artifacts erased (MH-60T/R)

  • [FIXED] Removed formation lights on MH-60T (not present on real aircraft)

  • [FIXED] Stabilator formation lights animations restored

  • [IMPROVED] Rotor blades have more flex on the ground, reduced stiffness

  • [ADD] Keyset DIR TO functionality — NAV > LEG SEQ page: FWD/BKWD SEQ selects target waypoint, CURR LEG snaps to active leg, DIR TO executes. Preserves remaining route after target; works mid-flight and with tablet plans, search patterns, and FTP routes

Keybinds added/changed in V1.1.5:

  • Rotor Longitudinal Trim Inc/Dec: speed beep ±6 kt (AUTOPILOT Altitude modes), else sets Rotor Longitudinal trim.
  • Rotor Longitudinal Trim Inc/Dec and Rotor Lateral Trim Inc/Dec now function in AUTO TRIM mode.
  • COM 1 / COM 2 Volume Inc/Dec controls cockpit comm volume
  • Auto Start Engine (CTRL+E) / Auto Shutdown (CTRL+SHIFT+E) now triggers the MH-60 start/shutdown sequence

wow! great work team!

YEEEEESSSS!

Please also if thats possible turn down engine sounds because MH-60 and Bell 407 are at like 300% loudnes in comparison to other helicopters, and Loudness Limiter in sound settings does nothing…

Has it been stated anywhere if there will ever be a proper Jayhawk, or will it only stay as an imitation?

The current mix is realistic, so no changes are planned.

Will take a look at Sounds Settings to make it adjustable from there.

A CAAS cockpit would be a separate product, not planned at this time. We are currently working on the UH60 series (A/L/DAP/S70L/VH60)

Yeah, the sounds volume as they were before were fine. I have in general set volume to 10% in the game settings and MH-60 is now louder than the other helicopters in the game.

Edit:
Ok, after starting its fine. Just APU and GPU are pretty loud.

Please create a bug report here: https://bugs.miltechsimulations.com/

Will do
Anyway, some news about implementing the CFD? (and probably the career mode?)

Edit:
Bug posted into your bug tracker - added video and my email address.

so when this week is update v1.1.5 going live? can’t wait!

It’s live right now.

not for PS5, we still waiting..

Quick update - we are preparing a new update for FS24, addressing a few of those pending bugs and issues reported after/that didn’t make it to V1.1.5

Additionally, a couple of smaller bugs were found during console testing. As such, we have decided to hold off the Xbox and PS5 v1.1.5 releases, until the upcoming 1.1.6 is complete. Similarly, the FS20 update will combine the changelog of 1.1.5 and 1.1.6.

As such, the release schedule will look like this:

  • 1.1.6, planned for early next week (FS24)
  • 1.1.5 PS5/Xbox release SKIPPED, with 1.1.6 releasing in 1-2 weeks from now
  • 1.1.5 FS20 SKIPPED, with 1.1.6 releasing by end of August

Hey just wanted to say, sorry because it’s actually not you’re fault about the wipers, it seems to be a ingame issue with many or all aircraft. I feel bad for not researching better first and wasting your time. My bad and thanks for being such an awesome developer and thanks for making such awesome aircraft. Ill try delete my other posts.

Is anyone having trim issues after the latest update? Longitudal and lateral trim seem to not work/behave the same way as before (with AP OFF). This means I cannot easily trim nose down/up the same way I did before to help maintain level flight.
