This is in fact due to the IFE arrestor cable physics conflicting with our custom “modern arrestor” physics.
Both are essentially doing the same - injecting custom physics to slow down the aircraft, resulting in “double the effect”. As someone suggested, holding the brakes should help, however, it is best practice when using any IFE aircraft to:
- Land without tailhook extended AND using modern arrestors - this will deactivate IFE tailhook physics
OR - Land with tailhook extended AND modern arrestors off - this will bypass any carrier physics and use the IFE arrestor simulation instead
