For everyone on the forums, we are aware of the NR Lights not working properly. We have fixed this problem and the update should be out later this week. It will improve most, if not all bugs reported throughout this first week.

Can anyone speak to whether this is much better than the default Cabri? I like what Iāve seen but I have no specific connection to this helicopter and if it flies just as good as the Cabri with similar depth to its systems, Iām not sure I would see a need to get it.
The Cabri is a double seater, piston engine, and is built for low slow flying.
The Mini-500 is a single seater, turbine engine, and is built for aggressive yet precise flying.
There is never a āNeedā to buy an aircraft when you have a variety of free ones at your disposal. However, if you are looking a more thrilling experience, customizable options, deeper flight dynamics like CFD (Mini-500 is the first to do so), and way more options like liveries, system depth, etcā¦ definitely consider adding it to your hangar. For $15.00, you would be paying a good price for one of, if not the best native helicopter experience in the simulator. The reason we made this payware is that we are confident in the first place that we have exceeded all expectations in regards to the currently available free selections.

As we move forward with Microsoft, we have submitted the final version to the Marketplace and testing has begun. As you may know, we usually push out a āWeek Oneā update from the week of public bugs and issues. After that, updates are normally updated in a more periodic manner. Enjoy this new version! Next update wonāt be until after the Marketplace version has released.

It is better than the default Cabri. If you like helis, the Mini 500 is a really good option.
Iād suggest watching some videos to see how the Mini 500 flies.
The mini 500 is just unbelievably good. Fast, precise and very easy to fly. There are lots of customisations, doors or no doors, Sky4Sim Pad if you use that (FlightSim.to mod) .
Its a single seater too, so the mission is different. Also it āGot Friendsā so you can be sure it is of the highest quality in its class, will be supported and updated as and when applicable as the Helo stuff in the sim matures.
It will easily be one of the best $15 you will ever spend, and it looks great too.
I just want a āLittle Birdā that I can actually fly that isnāt in Battlefield 4.

I havenāt flown anything else since I got this, so much fun and so good for sight seeing. I never expected this to become my favorite helicopter, but it really has become that. If I were going to fly helicopters in the real world, I would never go anywhere near a helicopter like this, but in the sim, it is safe and so compelling of an experience to fly this little personal helicopter.
starting to get to grips with the mental gymnastics of manipulating 4 controls simultaneously. Slowly but surely getting better.

That was really good for its time. By the legendary Geoff Crammond who went on to make all the Grand Prix (F1) series. They were so ahead of their time. Absolutely amazing AI and simulation considering the hardware. Definitely set the path for all the race sims to follow! Most still donāt have as good AI to be honest - it could make some really exciting and believable races. I played those all to death - all 4.
Actually met him once at a game show. It was just before GP4 was to be released and there was a āsit-inā race rig with wheel and pedals set up demoing it (way before that kind of thing was common at home!). I queued to have a go but it was near end of the day and pretty quiet and I was probably last. Noticed 3 guys in a huddle watching me and as I was pretty good one came up to me when I finished to ask what I thought of it. It was Geoff!!
This was an instant buy for me. Iāve been waiting since it was first announced.
Not because I knew anything about this particular helicopter but because Got Friends always do amazing work on their planes, and I liked the idea of a small single seat helicopter.
A couple things bothered me at first until I realized I could remove them. The compass right in your face in VR and the doors limiting visibility to the sides. Thankfully those can be removed along with some other customization options. I kind of love the vibration effects and that there is a control to change the intensity.
Got Friends really spoils you with their high quality, quick updates to take advantage of new features in the sim, and low prices. Not to mention they have a refreshingly positive attitude towards the sim.
