Since you have it tagged as such, will this also be available for 2020?
There is already a nice rendition of this airport made for 2020 by Orbx.

I remember that after finishing Atlanta, Matteo Veneziani wanted to completely revamp his Orbx version of Skiathos for MSFS 2024. If that’s the case, I’ll probably wait for that version.
Yeah, I was replying to @tclayton2k . No need to be sad that this one might not be for 2020 when there’s already that Matteo’s rendition.

Yeah, I just wanted to mention that there will eventually be a new 2024 Orbx version as well. And I’m pretty sure that Matteo will capture the charm of a Greek airport even better than M’M Simulations thanks to his nicely weathered textures. When it comes to the interior, however, M’M Simulations will likely have the edge.

Force of habit! Only for FS2024, I’m afraid.
To be fair, it looks pretty good (even the landside, which is a typically weak area for MM). However, they’ve used a default fence but appear to have ‘sunk’ it into the ground purposefully. It doesn’t look good, sadly.
I suspect Matteo’s will be more accurate, except maybe its internal development.
Has Matteo’s development of Skiathos for F2024 been confirmed? I believe he was focused on optimization of Atlanta in the past.
Hard to bite on the M’M version of Skiathos after the the disappointment that was Samos.
Not officially, but he has stated on Discord that he’s actively working on it.
Trailer just dropped. Gotta admit, it looks excellent, with lots of surrounding detail. I for one am going to wait for Matteo’s before deciding but this might not be as one-sided as we think. That fence does bother me, though — the airport may well have had something more substantial erected lately (having been IRL, I can confirm it was only about 3-4ft high a few years back and mainly consisted or rolls of razor-wire on the ground) but if so, I doubt it would look anything like what’s been used here. A shame as there’s custom fencing elsewhere, as illustrated in the video.

This airport has serious scenery-popping issues. Even the terminal building suddenly pops into view as you get close to the runway. Not to mention the red boat on the side of the runway, which pops into view at a few meters distance. This is the worst I have seen in a long time. I recommend to check out some of the reviews before buying. I am sticking to the old Orbx version.
This is MM’s first 2024-native airport and it seems they’ve run into the same problems as many other (including first-party) devs making the jump to the new sim. Hopefully they sort it for the next release, and apply the solution retrospectively to Skiathos.
