I watched a video of a guy taking his first flight in a vision jet, alongside a trainer, and they did the final bit of the approach on full flaps. Also, like you suggested however, as the trainee appeared to be floating a bit just over the runway, the trainer raised a level of flaps to get him down.
I’ve got a couple of hours to spare now, so will be doing some circuits to try and get my landings sorted…hopefully.
