Without a doubt my favourite plane in the sim. I’ve kept 2020 installed just so I can fly around my 1935 airfields in the B247
Interesting.
I reinstalled MSFS 2024 this evening and I’m looking in My library and the Marketplace version of the 247D is available to be enabled.
Yes, me too.
Although, as I mentioned before, from now on, I want certain addons to be without any encryption and purchased directly from the developer: A2A, this one, Flyboy, etc.
I don’t mind waiting for a sale to repurchase some that I had through the marketplace.
ive seen it but plane had some aspects need to be fixed…by …asobo? because wing 42 producers are missed…so who should take care of this?
The developer, of course. But he’s dropped off the planet and it’s not going to happen.
I enjoyed this plane quite a bit at release but the initial bugs, and the promise that it would be fixed quickly (it wasn’t) soured me on it over time. It’s a gorgeous experience when it works, but it really, really needed that first big patch that we never got: fix the number 2 engine startup sounds; fix the unstable oil temperature/pressure bugs.
This works well for me in 2020 if you haven’t tried it.

this was one of my preferite but im using fs 2024, i dont know if this fix works here…the developer disappeared some years ago
Unfortunately I do not have any sounds with the fixes mod in 2024, linked above.
I commented at flightsim.to, hope the mod dev supports 2024.
Grid on page disappear with this mod?
There is a contact phone number on the Wing42 website. Has anyone tried to contact him the old fashioned way?
Even the people he partnered with to assist with producing the aircraft were unable to contact him.
The last known contact was apparently a post saying he was working on a patch to fix the teething issues with the new release.
There is no point speculating about what has happened to him. We just need to make do with what we have together with any patches or addons users come up with themselves.
The one person I have spoken to who partnered with him said they didn’t try to call him. Obviously I don’t know all of them and haven’t spoken to all of them.
All I can say is there’s a contact phone number on the businesses website and people want to know the status of the business and support provided, etc. It’s worth someone trying, especially if they live in the same country and speak the same language as Otmar, which I do not.
