The Skyraider is a legendary aircraft, renowned for its rugged design, unmatched versatility, and ability to carry an extraordinary payload. Serving with distinction throughout the Korean and Vietnam Wars, the Skyraider earned its place in history as the ultimate close air support and ground-attack platform. It is one of the most important and remembered carrier-based aircraft of the second half of the 20th century, and among the few that successfully transitioned to large-scale land-based operations. With over 3,000 aircraft built and more than four decades of service, it was a true workhorse of military aviation.
Miltech Simulations has once again partnered with Blackbird Simulations to create a faithful rendition of this aircraft for MSFS2020 and MSFS2024.

Skyraider is set to release at a price point of 24.99 USD$, on Miltech Simulations Store, IniBuilds, Blackbird Simulations Store and MS Marketplace (PC and Xbox).
This aircraft is for FS2020 and FS2024.

I’m a little surprised that it’s only in beta. The version I saw (and flew) in June at the expo looked almost ready for release… maybe there was under-the-hood stuff that still needed to be done?
A lot has progressed since! The modelling was near complete, but flight model was a mess, no sounds, etc.
We are now really, really close to release

Not a real fan of the Skyraider, though it certainly looks good. But putting CV-11 Intrepid into the Supercarrier Pro pack and integrating it with the Mission Hub? chef’s kiss

I’m not the biggest fan of the Skyraider either, but I’m a fan of Miltech and Blackbird. It’ll be an excellent addon for sure.

Ah yes, “The Proud American” Skyraider is a recurring flyer at my local airshow. What a beast. I believe it could carry the same payload as the B17? Looks fun!! I wish there was an option for some more modern avionics… still steam gauge but modern.
Edit: I see the GTN in there… thats nice.. Makes it a fun tourer.

Intrepid is nearly ready to make its way to MSFS! As a reminder, this carrier will be added to Supercarrier Pro after the release of the Skyraider.
Speaking for Skyraider release - approaching the finish line. The aircraft is expected to launch on all platforms (PC, Xbox, MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024) before the end of the month. As usual, we’ll offer an early PC release through our website ahead of the full Marketplace rollout.
