Removal of plane requirements for World updates

Hi there,

I think it’s time to change how World Updates function in the content manager. Currently, we have so many in-game planes that I’ve started uninstalling the ones that I’m not flying to gain some disc space. Sadly, I could not install the Australia World Update after that because it requires some planes that I will never fly as prerequisites, probably for the “Activities”.

Dear Asobo/MS, please remove the planes as required from WUs (I will live with not having the associated activities available - I just want the “World” update)

The World Update will install - it just won’t let you do certain things if you’re missing prerequisites, such as certain planes. Those remain greyed out.

Once a World Update is installed, I go back into the Content Manager, I click on Installed in the filter menu to the left, then use the hamburger icon atop the screen to itemize the Installed Items. From there, I can remove things not important to me, such as Discovery Flights, Bush Flights, Training, and the planes I don’t use. That’s how you lean out after every WU.

Strange, it didn’t want to install for me, informing me about the missing prerequisites. Will have to double-check.

And the POI’s … they so clutter the world map … the inability to remove some planes and the original default POI’s is annoying … the game base has no “hamburger”

I’ve never tried removing then adding but you may have a thing, Bush trip requiring removed craft or something?

Ok I think I’m getting it now:

“Get and download” is greyed out, but I should be able to just “Get” it and then install only the parts I can.

Well thanks, if it’s like this than I’ve bothered people for nothing and Asobo/MS already thought about people with needs like mine

Just curious, have you used the delete numbered files in fs-base-cgl, saves about 40gb.

If you navigate there you can delete those with so far no ill effect.
