Remove unwanted AI traffic models/liveries

That’s right, just the option restrict models to load as traffic/ stationary aircraft. Now this week I would also like not to see airports full of FA18/Dark stars) pelicans flying around…

Are those models really used by live traffic though? With traffic variety set to Ultra?

Edit: isAirTraffic is already set 0 for the F-18. The Darkstar aircraft.cfg appears to be locked so don’t know about that one. I don’t have the Pelican installed.

I do believe I’ve seen the F-18 parked at airports even though isAirTraffic is set 0. But I don’t recall seeing it flying around or taxiing (it’s a good thing, because the AI is unable to taxi it properly because he forgets to turn on nose wheel steering haha). I have generic models turned off in traffic settings.

In multiplayer they are everywhere

Yes. An options check box in the hangar or something.

Voted.

As I would expect. But your wishlist does not mention or cover multiplayer traffic, rather AI traffic.

I’ve just loaded next to a static PMDG 737 aircraft at Atlanta and had a pretty stuttery experience, for the first time in a very long time, and i’m wondering if the two aren’t entirely disconnected.

Is there a way to disable statics without having to restart the flight?

I’ve just been playing with the options and it would appear that both PMDG and Fenix do use lower resolution internal models for their static and AI aircraft.

However, both do appear to still draw the flight crew and the cabin on the Fenix did appear to be of a fairly high quality, despite the fact that i had chosen to hide the cabin on my aircraft.

Could applying that hidden-cabin setting to the other multiplayer, AI and static aircraft save more performance? If i’ve decided i can do without seeing my own cabin, it’s a pretty safe bet that I won’t be too bothered about looking at anyone else’s.

Just hanging out at the MSFS Bücker Jungmann convention apparently.

I ended up moving it out from my content\official folder as I was fed up with seeing the bloody thing everwhere. I use Addon Linker and it has an ‘advanced’ option to handle stuff from the ‘Official’ content folder so I can enable it again if I want to fly it easily. I guess just moving it in and out of the folder manually would work just as well too.
