Render Window - External Views

I hope I’m posting this in the right place and in the most efficient way!

I have a somewhat unusual question—at least, I haven’t found anyone else asking about this or offering a solution. It’s about Render Windows. Setting them up for internal cockpit views is straightforward, and I’ve been able to create views of just about anything I want.

For example, like many of you, I use three monitors: the game runs on my center monitor, and I’ve created two additional render windows for the left and right views. Aside from the occasional glitch, this setup works great.

However, I’d like to create a render window to display an external view—something like mounting a GoPro under my plane or helicopter. The goal is to help me see things like how close I am to the ground in a helicopter or whether I’m still centered on the helipad.

Is it possible, either natively or with an addon, to create a render window that shows the last drone or external view I set up?

I imagine it working like the mirrors some helicopters have, where the pilot can look down and back to see what’s below them.

Does anyone know if this is possible? Or have ideas or suggestions on how to make it work?

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I have a “GoPro” view but I use 2 PCs. I had limited space for 1 Graphics card, thus 3 monitors. I have a total of 6.

3 on 1 PC and 3 on the other.

Main PC is one 21" monitor and 2 RealSimGear PFD and MFD terminals for my G1000. I run main MSFS on this PC and can show cockpit or external view on the monitor. All flight controls are on this PC.

A second PC with 3 32" TVs. Also runs a separate MSFS app and connects to PC 1 using WidevieW. Three MSFS windows - center main view zoomed out of the cockpit. Left and right contains the rendered windows. A little tricky to set up.

The motherboard Ethernet connections are connected to the router via a switch. Used for the internet connection for MSFS.

I connect WidevieW using a PCI Ethernet card in each PC connected via an ethernet crossover cable. Each PC has 2 networks, one for internet and one for WidevieW.
