Reno Air Race Aircraft on Xbox

Evening People,

I purchased 2 aircraft from the Reno Air Races to fly in sim , however i didn’t purchase the Reno Expansion pack itself , so my question is if it is actually needed ?

I checked the details on my purchased aircraft in the content manager and it lists a ‘base’ version in order for them to work correctly, I assume this version is part of the Reno Expansion?
Am i missing out on functionality by not having the base version ?

Those “Common” iterations should be a part of the base sim (not the base Reno expansion).

I believe you’re on Xbox, yes, but these are in the OneStore folder on PC, which will be the same on Xbox even though you can’t view them:

EDIT: You probably can see them in the Content Manager if you switch from package view to list view:

I’m in work at the moment, I’ll check when i get home later to see if it’s there, I don’t recall ever seeing it though.

No you dont need to purchase the Reno pack, MS/Asobo just need to get the planes fixed as they have been broken for nearly a year, same with P41s where the engine shuts off with any throttle application.
They will take your money but they wont let you use what you paid for

According to a Zen desk reply to my query , they say the base Reno Air Race extension isn’t needed, the aircraft should work correctly.

Your Reno planes will work fine assuming they aren’t currently broken. When they’re working the way they’re supposed to, all Reno planes work just fine individually - that’s why they let you buy them individually. I own one of the T-6’s and L-39’s and last I flew them they still worked. My P-51D has been grounded since last summer though because of a bug.
