Replacing FBW sound with default

Mate, use the EFB. Turn down exterior master volume to -50 in the audio settings page of the EFB. I understand you aren’t satisfied with the volume and I told you I’m working on it.

No it does not need to be at par with the other aircraft. I would like to keep it as is.

You did a wonderful job with the new sound and also the complete team with all the new custom things like autopilot etc.

It should sound as it sounds in real life. The msfs a320 is bad and flying with the a32nx is so much better I would never go back. Thanks to you and the team that you develope a plane which is now flyable in a very nice way. And for free.

The question is can the FBW sounds be used on the default A320?

Such silliness here, people caring how another user flies the plane or what they want from their simulation, and completely ignoring the original question for so many posts.

You’re on the right track, if it’s possible. In years past, it would have essentially been yes, you could swap out the sounds folders. But, given that there are likely custom sounds that would no longer have an associated sound, it’s likely that you’d at best be missing some sounds for some actions. In the past, you could edit the sound.cfg and do stuff, but, I don’t currently fly airliners so don’t have the FBW loaded (I only want the A320 for AI when it works someday) and haven’t checked out the sound.cfg file for it and whether or not the sounds are editable anymore in MSFS.

Mt main problem with the FBW sound is theengine volume. I have to turn down my main volume to about 60 while the rest of the sim is good at 100. The engines are so loud they drown out the ATC. Just decrease the sound will ya?

Dear Boris, why when I close the cockpit door, my fasten seat belt sign can’t be heared at the cockpit anymore, the sound should be heared from the top panel, not from the pax cabin?

Again - the EFB exterior master slider is used for that, it’s the whole point that you can turn down the volume without touching msfs volume sliders.

The sound comes from the passenger cabin speakers. When the door is closed, it blocks out most of the sound, this is realistic.

It flat out doesn’t work. You get minimal change in volume adjusting any of them sliders. And I’ll be honest with you. I’ve been on many a320s in my life as I’ve been flown on many flights, over 1000 I’m sure the interior doesn’t sound like that. I just flew a A320 Interjet not that long ago from Mexico City to Orlando. Not only that I live in the flight path of runway 18R/36L at KMCO and I hear planes flying overhead and I can tell the difference in a 757 and a a320 taking off and landing. And I’m sorry, your sound files sound nothing like them. No disrespect but the sound of this FBW takes all the enjoyment out of flying it.

What engine model was it ?

Let’s just say the fbw interior sound doesn’t sound like ANY plane I’ve ever been on.

The DEV whom does Sound has just said he is gonna reduce Exterior Volume and also he can raise the Sound for FLAPS DRAG especially when it goes FULL FLAPS.

Again, you need to make sure you are comparing planes of similar ages and the exact same engines. They have entirely different sound profiles.

Lol the sound takes out all the enjoyment? I am literally speechless. So you would basically choose the Asobo vacuum cleaner sound over real LEAP1A engine sounds in the A32NX? Even if you think it’s not realistic how can the default sounds ever be better??? I can’t stop laughing at this right now sorry.

Have you flown on an a320-251/253 with LEAP engines specifically? At this point hundreds of neo pilots and passengers have confirmed that my sounds are as accurate as can be for the LEAP engine. The EFB changes the exterior master volume by 6 decibels, I am going to make it a bit more effective in the future. But do not say that the sound is unrealistic when you have never flown on the engine model we simulate.

And definitely don’t say the sounds are unrealistic and choose the default vacuum cleaner that sounds nothing like the A32N over the leap1A in the A32NX which is taken from IRL audio and confirmed by real A320neo pilots

Not trolling. Just giving my personal opinion of the sound. The default sounds like an aircraft we all recognize when flying. The FBW sounds like nothing I’ve flown on. That’s all I’m saying. As I write this I’m flying the default and is sounds like I’m in an aircraft. I don’t know what the heck the FBW sounds like. Nothing I’ve ever heard. Hence my original question that was never answered. Hundreds of pilots? Cmon, if you believe they are all real pilots than I’ve got some conspiracy theories I’d love to sell you.
