[REPORTED] 787 bugs: APU and fuel pump + Disengaging autothrottle

Actually, the best way is to remove the 787 file, start the sim and let it re-download the 787.
The manifest.jsn file shows the version number.
This is the current version.
Yours will probably be .49 or similar.

Yes, I did delete it and redownloaded it again. I will check which version it is. However still having the same issue. Thanks though.

I wanted to make sure you knew the current version, and where to look for that.
I’m sure it will also be posted about in here!!

Sadly I spent £109 for the Premium deluxe version which only has 2 airliners & neither fly as I am unable to start the engines. Heathrow airport also has bugs on apron to runways where the roads disappear down a huge sinkhole. Are you really suggesting that we have to patch this stuff ourselves, come on, lets be reasonable here.
Where else in the world would people pay huge sums of money for brand new stuff that does not work from the get go. I’m sick to the back teeth of trawling around looking for solutions when all I want to do is get what I paid for and start enjoying the simulation.

You have to look at this more optimistically. The glass is half-full. There now exists the opportunity for you to start a business where you can charge people full price for something and do a half-a**ed job and make tons of money. This is the new normal. Take advantage of it. If you can’t beat 'em, join 'em.

Wise words…
Even as this problem seems to be well documentated now and we are all hoping for a quick solution, I want to point out, that I as a customer do have the right to receive a functional product. As complex as a simulator is, it is also much more expensive than a jump and run browser game.
I purchased the Deluxe Version for 120,- € (?) Euro and none of the 3 planes is working. The 787 has the discussed problem here and the 320 neo and the 747 have the “rudder issue”, which is discussed somewhere else in this forum.
What works perfect are the small planes…but not for this price and this is not what I expected.

Absolutely spot on, that said, I’m in the hospitality industry and have not worked for 12 months so I can’t charge a penny for anything at present. Microsoft would be well advised to think of people like me & others who have not worked & yet who have spent a sum of money on something that does not do as intended.

You should add that these problems don’t happen for all users. I’m e.g. not experiencing the 787, A320 and 747 problems you are having.
edit: I’m only using unmodified aircraft.

Neither am I. The sim and all aircraft are working great for me.

Huh? What’s the point of your post?

I think that it is because you have the newest version of the 787, that a lot of us are unable to download.
If you haven’t tried, you could try backing up your 787 and reinstall it, to see if you still get the latest version. If you still get the new version I’d be stunned haha, I would not understand.

Me, too.
Why should I add this? I am very sure, that a big percentage of users do not have those problems, but this is no excuse for the programmers or whoever is responsible.
I have been flying simulators for more than 20 years now, not only Microsoft´s and I am fully aware, that there are tons of unpredictable issues linked to e.g. hardware and the rest is voodoo or just being unlucky when downloading the incorrect file in the wrong moment.
When somebody tells me, the issue here will be solved in 2 weeks, I am fine with that.
But when having a look at the other bugs mentioned here in the forum, not only aircraft related. Asobo / MS have a lot to do in the coming months. And this time should not be “wasted” by designing new handmade buildings and sceneries; as beautiful as they look, functional aircraft should have priority.

If the mistake here is really linked to the 2 versions, .49 and .56, it should be solved in 2 minutes.

The sim update 3 will be out next week. That’s not too far away, isn’t it…

Hehe exactly, that´s it.
I had a functional 787 until last week, used it for 100 hours, but then I received the magic 49-er version and now it is not usable.
Mistakes can happen, exspecially with complex products like this one, but when recognizing this mistake, there should also be a reaction, I don´t expect more.
They released a hotfix for the “flaps issue”, which btw I never had…but I am sure, they made hundreds of simmers happy.

When I see this reply from moderators… Are they not aware that microsoft servers are not sending the correct version? (This is from 10H ago)

Probably you completely misunderstood me.

I WORSHIP THIS SIM! ANYWAY!

I WOULD WORK AS AN MAIDEN DRESSED GAFFA BOY FOR Asobo WHEN THIS WILL HELP TO FREE THE CODERS FROM WHATSOEVER AND MAKE THE SIM BETTER!

But this has nothing to do with what you wrote.

Of course it will need patches, no problem. Fine tuning, polishing, all ok. But half functional “premium” aircraft are not ok. Period!

Ok, thanks for taking care.
But where will I find the solution…here or in the new thread?

I think the only solution will come from Asobo in the form of an update to the content manager for the 787 (hopefully, they’ll push an update to the 787 without any sim updated needed)
