[REPORTED] 787 bugs: APU and fuel pump + Disengaging autothrottle

That’s probably due to a low memory issue on the person’s PC. This game needs a lot of memory

I am running 48gb of Ram with MSFS on a 2TB SSD.

That’s what the games does I believe it downloads the 787 with the issue…

I don’t think there is anything to do. the code is just broken somehow

That makes sense, now gotta figure out how to get the 787 to update…

Idk Asobo might have to put out an update for it to work…

It does indeed need a lot of memory.
Funny though that it would manifest itself as an aircraft issue.
You would think there would be other noticeable issues as well, such as stutters, CTD, etc.

i have the same issues, i tried everything whitout succes… and only whit this aircraft

Congratulations. You are number 5 to post a thread about this.

Would you mind searching the forums and reading the several hundred other posts that have already discussed this before we repeat the same things here?

me to, and i have the same problem, only whit this aircraft, maybe someone can sahred the folder where 787 works… and try if this could resolved the problem

You can’t share the 787 folder. It’s encrypted and only available to premium deluxe purchasers.

By the way, there are now five different threads on this subject all discussing it independently. Too bad we can’t just combine these threads

Yesterday i bought premium deluxe upgrade…

I reported the bug to Zendesk and I recommending you should too so that they can look into it.

For now you can try flying the other aircraft until it gets fixed…

After starting the APU, the APU will shut down after a few minutes.

The procedure is as follows.

  1. Battery ON
  2. Standby Power AUTO
  3. APU Start
  4. APU Gen1,2 ON
    – after few minutes –
  5. APU Shutdown

Is there anything wrong with that?
Or is it normal for an APU to only last a few minutes?

btw, if I turn on Fuel Pumps, I can start the APU again, but it still shuts down after a few minutes.

Is Fuel Pumps related to APU?

Do you have any failures turned on?

The APU needs a pump to get fuel from fuel tank #2, which is located in the main wing. The APU is in the tail, and only draws from tank #2.

IRL, the 747-8 has a DC fuel pump of it’s own, but it is only good for about 15-20 minutes run time.
Otherwise, it requires the pumps in tank 2 to be on, if the APU is to be run for extended periods.
I have no idea if that is implemented correctly in the sim.

engine dies while flying too. no fuel pumps.

failures are all off.

APU will shut down about 3 minutes after the APU Gen light on.

When I fill the main tank #2 with fuel, turn on FuelPump all the way, and start the APU, it seems to be running longer.

However, once the APU shuts down, it cannot be rebooted no matter what I do.

Anyway, it seems that the only thing to do is to start the engine as soon as possible.

There are quite a few posts in here on this issue.
It may be hard to correct.
Ensure your Community Folder is empty when trying so that any conflicts are removed.
Some users have had success by opening the crossfeed valve while starting it up!

Me too, no mods, and reinstalled everything once. Still like this
