I don’t think it’s related to any partner devs wishes. They make the aircraft under contract for Microsoft who own the rights is my understanding. It’s Microsoft’s call pure and simple. The encryption issue is related to career mode they told us in the recent dev stream. It was a massive oversight on their behalf to not expect this to be an issue. If they focused more on quality than quantity the default aircaft might actually be good enough to not need modding. Sadly that’s not the case.
