[RESOLVED] Marketplace not downloading content

Well i bought the LOWI airport and i had to fix assets being all over the place so i wanted a re-install. Deleted ORBX LOWI hoping i could install it again, but i can not re-install. There is no download button on either the marketplace or the content manager. How can i reinstall the content now?

UPDATE:

Good news!

I found the solution to my problem:
All DLC’s are in this folder

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020\Official\Steam

Found the folder for ORBX LOWI and deleted it

restarted the sim and now i’m able to download it again in the content manager.

Wow I never thought about that! I got the orbx addons from orbx directly. I hope you’ll be able to reinstall. No link in email purchase confirmation ?

No, nothing at all. ORBX can’t help since it’s Microsoft which deals with the marketplace.
They have to add the option to re-download asap…
It’s a shame because i already paid and i can’t get a refund since it’s DLC.

Buying from ORBX externally might be the best option from now on. Unless they push a fix really fast

Im so sorry. Submit ticket to Zen asap. Indeed the orbx center software is great. Install anywhere, uninstall, reinstall… No limit. I had bought many addons from them when I was using P3D. And because all my purchases failed using ms market place i decided to go back to orbx directly.

Thank you for the sympathy
I will do a ticket and hopefully I will get it to work eventually

Keep us posted because - unfortunately - this is a very interesting topic as we do install uninstall things, that’s part of the experience.

Yes, that’s true. I have reported the issue.
Tried getting a refund from Steam, but that got denied because it’s an in-game item, and they don’t refund that. It’s very clear that unless there’s a system that will make our life easier on the Steam platform it will be better buying stuff externally which is a shame because the simplicity of the marketplace is so nice.

Oh you got it on steam! I used ms store. I know that on Steam if you check your game properties it lists all your dlcs. Click to disable… Click to install… Works great with all my steam games…

I tried this, but it will still not let me download the ORBX LOWI in the content manager or marketplace.
It does show that I own it in MP, and it shows up in the CM as UP TO DATE but no file size behind it, as if it’s not installed. Does not show up in-game either.

Thank you for trying to help!

I’m sorry to hear that this has happened to you, but grateful you have shared with all of us. We’ll need to be extremely careful purchasing products through the market place. I for one will source add ons direct from the supplier.

Thank you for the support.
For now people download and enjoy it as long as there’s no problems with it, but wait until people start doing the same thing. I can’t believe they would do anything else than to add a download button in the content manager so you can “install” the DLC’s again.
This should be a warning until this issue gets fixed

I don’t know if you can, but I wonder if you go to the Microsoft Store app in Windows and check your apps if it has the ORBX DLC in there. If so you might be able to uninstall/reinstall from there.

Indeed. I wanted to buy the Canerado but until I get it on the Carenado website I’ll pass. What a pity the market place is so badly setup. I hope our friend will have this sorted out.

Oh thats a very good idea!

Good thinking Nerraw, but I checked there and my Microsoft account. There is no payment gone to them, so it’s all on Steam.

That is indeed some very good news!!

I had the same issue. My copy was from the Microsoft Store and not steam . I went to:

C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_possible random vaule\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore

Deleted the folder applicable ORBX folder and could reinstall from the marketplace.

LOWI stops after start downloading ->
first disconnect WiFi, connect via LAN.
exit MSFS.
delete corrupt file in your MSFS folder its under STEAM
limit bandwith in Steam settings around to 15000 kb/s its around 15 MB

try to download again via contentmanager in steam.
