It is a usesless message. For me it pops up on landing at about 200 feet. What the heck am I supposed to do with this information. Especially when my screen is looking smooth.
My thoughts are the message should be removed for the following reasons.
When users first install the SIM, it is the installation process that sets the graphics settings based on the systems resources. Presumably, if the install did its job correctly, this message would never appear, unless users went in and manually changed their default graphics settings. It is at that point, when users change and save their new graphics settings, a message could appear warning them that any changes can cause performance issues. So now, if they are hit with poor performance, they have already been warned so no need to have a message pop-up telling them what they already know.

I know the feedback is logged, but just had an idea until it gets fixed, couldnt Asobo just add an option in the setting page so after the pop up shows the first time you can click accept, then have a tick box with [dont show this message again until next sim update]
The message is still there. It got more random, but it is still useless as I notice no performance drop or stutters or framerate drop when it appears. The underlying issue seems to be solved, but the annoying message is still there.
+1 - ive been getting this message and YES it happens way too frequently and is very inaccurate. i have zero stutters when this message pops op, but it ruins the immersion. it has been happening ever since SU5. - or at very heavy airports.
just give me the option to turn it off.
I used to hate that message, but now I like it. I rarely see it anymore. It only pops up sometimes after changing settings. The message honestly warns you that your settings are too high for your VRAM. You won’t necessarily get big stutters right after it appears. However, micro-stutters definitely happened long before the message because the system was trying to free up VRAM.
how long has this sim been out that we cannot get rid of this (incredibly) annoying message?
I have never seen this message unless I was near or beyond my hardware’s VRAM capacity. If you want it gone, adjust your settings accordingly really.
Lucky ■■■■■■■!!! We do see it every flight and apparently it has nothing to do with any actual resource deficit that warrants this annoying popup
