Restart PC necessary to Launch MSFS

Hello,
For a few days I have following problem. When I start my PC and I try to launch the SIM I get for a short moment a black screen and then I am on my desktop. It seems so that the exe-file does Not start regulary. But when I make a restart on my PC then I can launch the SIM without any problems.
This happens only with the try to launch the SIM. With starting other programs I have not this problem.
Is there anyone who has a solution for this issue?

What does the Event Viewer say? It should have an entry for the crash.

Is your system up to date? Including the most recent BIOS?

If a “hot” restart fixes issues that a cold boot has, it might be down to some hardware issue or drivers.

Last BIOS Update I made four weeks ago.

And what about the other questions?

All updates I have done. Windows, SIM, graphics

Please provide info on all the questions.

Also provide your system specs so we can guess what might be the cause.

Thank you very much for the link

Odd question. Do you have Seagate “Toolkit” installed? If so, this might be the cause.

Turn off fast startup.

How to.

Go to > sytsem settings > system > power & sleep > additional power settings

That’s a very good post.

In all the years I have used Windows I always turned off the hibernate function. It has caused more problems than it’s ever been worth having it on.

No, I have not installed Seagate.

Thank you very much. I will try it tomorrow. Unfortunately I have no time today.

You’re welcome.
