Retrieving lat/long coordinates with Navigation API

Can anybody confirm that this works accurately for items like taxiway points, etc.? I’m using a FLOAT32 var but the location seems to be off by a few m. 7 decimal places should give me land survey accuracy.

How are you determining you’re off by a few meters?

What makes you think coordinates are correct that you’re trying to match to in MSFS?

You didn’t give much information on why you think you’re off, but, as an anecdote that may or may not be related, 2 years ago I redid KASH, I used the Bing “map” on the ground to place everything.
I just opened the project again, and, wouldn’t you know it, they updated the Bing data, and everything shifted by about 2 meters south-ish and I had to redo the whole taxi and runway data, plus all my aprons, etc…

Obviously, there’s lots of other reasons you could be having issues. But not much we can do without more information.

Thanks. I’m trying to get the exact (lat long to 7 decimal places) location of taxiway points for a specific airport. The problem must be with my code, since the point coordinates show agreement between both Airport Design Editor and the Developer mode editor. ADE parses the BGL file and I’m assuming that Developer Mode must read the coordinates directly. In the mean time, I found a font end to the Navdata API and I’m going to try that.
