I can tell you also that I and many other RT5700XT owners (other AMD models) can not use any drivers newer than the early Nov ‘20 driver because of ctd’s. Supposedly this is only an issue with MSFS2020 but I have no other games so I have no way of confirming this.
Thank you for your posts and information. I’m going to go read what you just sent me. I’m leaning towards going for it and taking a risk on HP’s 10% return policy.
