Reverb G2 change Hidden mask area

When I switch to VR I see the black area on the screen which is not rendered because you cannot see it either. I noticed that the visible area that is being rendered is displayed much larger on the screen than I can effectively capture in the headset. This means that a lot of pixels are rendered which I will never see. you lose a lot of performance. is there a way to change these hidden mask area so that less invisible pixels are rendered?
