Reverb G2 Glitches

Hi folks,

This is for the devs and any community members. I just got a Reverb G2 and I noticed a few glitches/bugs that may or may not be related to VR, but they seem to be.

  1. The screen goes black for several seconds (two to fifteen). This seems to happen after playing for a few minutes, not right away. It also may be triggered by head movement (sudden and rapid, or extreme angles?). I don’t think it’s an MFS problem because it also happened in DCS with my Rift (original). I’m hoping it’s just a driver or software issue, nothing is overheating, so I don’t think it’s hardware.

  2. When I started VR for the first time, my plane was stuck on the taxiway. I had stopped and switched to VR and couldn’t get going again. The engines would throttle up, somewhat erratically, but no movement.

  3. When I restarted, I couldn’t get the ATIS to shut off. I switched freqs, turned off the VHFL, I tried turning down the volume knob (I was in a 747) but it doesn’t seem to work, it doesn’t even move. I fixed the problem by restarting again.

  4. It’s very difficult to get the pilots viewpoint to stay in one spot, it seems to jump around because it’s confused about the head tracking. Sometimes I end up too low, sometimes my head is poking through the roof. This all happens while sitting still. When I hit space, it resets, but eventually will jump positions again.

  5. This isn’t VR related, but I might as well include it. The PRESS lights in the fuel pump switches on the 747 don’t work anymore (I think they did at one point). Except for two of them, but they appear about ten centimeters to the left of the button. This happens in VR or not. Also, many planes seem far too difficult to turn. In the 747 for example, if I’m going above 3 kts groundspeed or so, the plane seems to want to understeer straight off the taxiway, even with the control fully deflected. I don’t think it’s realistic, but maybe I’m just doing something wrong.
