I had the same problem … started getting connection error, wouldn’t connect. When it did, it would go black for a few seconds (during which I lost aircraft control), then it just went black and stayed that way. VR view still showed on monitor, but had to force start PC.
Talked to HP on Friday. He spoke to superiors on Saturday. Sunday got an email that he would send new link cable. It showed up on my doorstep today (Tuesday).
Problem fixed. Apparently, the older link cables couldn’t take the power it drew, or something like that. Anyway, it was amazing how quickly I got a new cable, and now I’m a happy camper (and HP customer) again.
I don’t always fly VR, just copters. Sometimes I just like the pure beauty of the sim in 4K; besides, there’s sometimes too much to do in the cockpit to worry about looking around at scenery.
Specs: RTX 4090, i9-12900K, 32GB DDR5. What fun it is!!!
