Hi!
It was previously running fine on 3900x, RTX 3080, and Asus rog strix x570 MB before upgrading
Upgraded to the above hardware and let it boot from the SSD and FS seemed to run nicely on the new gear. Since I had upgraded almost my entire system, I decided I would install a fresh copy of windows to start off with a clean slate.
After installing flight simulator, openXR, Nvidia drivers etc. everything in VR is extremely jerky no matter the settings I use. Not sure what I could be missing? I gave up trying new settings and uninstalled flight simulator. I am now in the process of reinstalling so hopefully that clears things up…anything else I should be looking at? Reinstalling has worked for similar situations in the past.
@ResetXPDR Windows 11. After reinstall I am still having the same issue. Extremely bad performance. Might have to go back to Windows 10 and see if that will fix it?
Before you go back to Win 10, try this. Start WMR, go to Computer Management → System Tools → Performance → Data Collector Sets → Event Trace Sessions. In this list, find HolographicShell, right click, and choose ‘Stop’.
Let me know if that improves things MSFS VR-wise. If it does, I can provide a more permanent solution.
@ResetXPDR too late…lol. I didn’t see your post and already went back to Windows 10. Installing FS now so hopefully will have a playable sim soon. I wish I could have tried your suggestion though…
