As already mentioned, VR or not is very personal. This is not only the case for MSFS2020 but in general. I’m mainly a sim racer and started with VR 2 years ago with an Odyssey+. After two weeks I sold my triple screens and never looked back. You will loose graphics quality, but you’ll gain so much more immersion. I recently upgraded to a G2, which gives much more clarity. Even on my RTX 2070 with 30 FPS and low settings, immersion is so great.
Only when seeing some of the high-res screenshots, I sometimes wish I could have the same quality, but even with 2D this is not possible with todays hardware. (they’re just polished screenshots) So as already mentioned check-out VR, buy it and return it, or keep it. You’ll need a couple of sessions to get used to it, but I can easily use VR for hours. The G2 is very comfortable, even with the bigger FOV mod I’m using.
