Does anyone has problems with head tracking in G2? It always drifts or loses game zone for me. Tried different light setups, printed QR codes and placed them on the walls - still the same situation. As owner of both Quest 2 and G2 this situation is pretty much disappoiting for me, considering that I’ve bought G2 especially for simulators.
I periodically “Clean environment data” in Windows 10 “Mixed reality” settings (the names are my translations for Polish Windows interface).
Here’s an unusual story. Maybe it will give you an idea. I had the headset jumping around on me periodically. I adjusted my lights and did all the usual fixes with no luck.
Well one day I noticed it wasn’t jumping around when I thought it should be. While trying to figure out why it was working properly, I also noticed I had dropped a towel on my stick. I have a T16000m stick and it has an LED light on the base. The towel was covering the LED light. When I removed the towel the headset began jumping around. When I put the towel back the headset worked properly. I have since disconnected the LED light in the stick and haven’t had a problem since.
Daaarn I just noticed that my mouse logo cases some of this. Now I covered it but still have to figure out how to turn off leds on throttle (TM warthhog).
I hope you found something that helps. You could just use some black electrical tape or something to cover them up before going too drastic and disconnecting the lights. I ended up taking apart my stick and cutting the wire leading to the LED. I can always splice the wires back together if I want the lights back but I don’t need them with a heaset on!
Anyway, good luck.
