I really like the neo, it is superb with the flybywire mod.
I like the new throttle with detents (I use the Custom FBW), I only do not have a detent for my throttle so previously I used the “toggle throttle reverse thrust button” option in msfs and had reverse thrust with this. With the new custom throttle options I cannot get that to work no matter the settings I pick in the ThrottleConfiguration.ini. Is there somebody who got this to work?
I’m not sure what that .ini is you are referring to, but I can tell you how I have my TQ6+ configured.
Change you throttle axis to the on with with “0 - 100” in its name. Then in the sensitivity settings , configure the point you crossover into reverse with the “Neutral” slider. For me, that is -59%, which rests right on my idle detent. Even without said detent, you can still specify a point on your axis that this occurs.
Hello Daan108,
maybe you can try this? I am now happy with the Thrustmaster Airbus TCA Quadrant, which now works correctly with detents matching on the throttle quadrant and the simulator. Please try the following steps:
In MS FS, reset the Thrustmaster A320 TCA Quadrant control sensitivity to “0” values (=linear response)
Do a new calibration of the TCA Quadrant, pressing both L & R red side buttons in all 5 detent positions (incl. full reverse position!)
Use values in the “ThrottleConfiguration.ini” file, that will get TCA Quadrant detents synchronized with the Flight Sim detents.
UPDATE 15th Februar 2021: After some more fine adjustments of the “ThrottleConfiguration.ini” values, I got my Thrustmaster Airbus TCA Quadrant to work even more precise synchronized with the throttle in the actual A320 MS FS (when using the A32NX custom FBW).
I now use these values:
Maybe manufacturing tolerances and calibration differencies could result that some sim folks needs other values for a perfect sync between the Thrustmaster Quadrant and the flight simulator.
Thanks for helping out! Perhaps I was not clear in what I was trying to achieve. I do not have a throttle with detents, but I use a (dual) throttle without them. What I want to achieve is use the whole range for forward thrust and then when I hold a button it uses the throttle range for reverse instead. I found out for the default planes than can be achieved by assigning both “hold throttle reverse thrust” and “toggle throttle reverse thrust” to that button. I always found it kinda illogical I needed to assign both but that was just the only way I could get it to work.
But the good news: I found that flybywire basically fixed that (what I consider a) bug. For the neo I just only need to assign “hold throttle reverse thrust” to a button and then it does exactly what I want! (with enabled is true and ReverseOnAxis = false in the ini file). To my opinion much more logical!
Hello I have same problem but after re installing flybywire A320 from installer I cant find throttle.ini folder anymore like before…much help appreciated !
