Rework of the EC135

Anyone aware of a proper “high fidelity” EC135 / H135 in development?

With the latest info that Joerg gave on the Dev Stream, we are now finally can have hope that the EC-135 gets is well deserved fixes as i has been moved to Asobo.. Thanks MS

lets see what they do in the mext sim updates, but i dont expect them to add configuration variants like wsps, bear paws or any exterior detail that can be changed individually, i think they will try to fix it but it will be keep being a stardard 3d model with no changes, hope the shut my mouth and do a masterpiece but i dont think that is going to be the case, just hoping they do something on this sim update 6, at least give it some love

This helicopter needs an updated flightmodel. It flies like it has no mass and thus is very unstable, bumpy and unpleasent to fly. It looks nice, but flies like… … not good.

Im not a pilot myself and I also find the helicopter quite uncomfortable to fly and the sounds are really bad without a doubt and this is something I can confirm cause I heard the EC135 already but more important for me is the flightmodel and systems and I saw a video from a real EC135 Pilot he doesnt fly the T1 but a other EC135 Variant. He said that the flightmodel and systems are nearly like real life. From my own experience I dont feel like this can be real cause the helicopter behaves very badly but he said it is realistic and I think gave the helicopter a 8,5. What do you guys think about it?

I don’t think this is the real behavior of the EC 135…

If it was, then the helicopter would be flown with electronic aids (which are not simulated in the msfs variant) … or otherwise, if the EC 135 is to be flown without stability systems i can’t believe how unpleasent it is to fly,…

Anyways,… this helicopter needs flight model improvements desperately in order to give the player a pleasent experience. It should not be forgot, that the EC 135 in the game is not a study level in-depth model. It should be pleasent to fly.

To my mind it lacks mass… just mass and inertia.

That was really interesting to watch, thanks for sharing. Keeping torque around 50-60 for cruising was a great advise. Collective at 50% lets it cruise at 135 knots, which is a great speed to fly.

Collective at 30% results in a nice low altitude flight seeing speed.

But as soon as you use the upper range of the collective, it quickly over torque or crosses the speed limit at 160 and starts jolting.

Flying the EC135 feels like it has two overpowered turbines and can’t handle it. It needs very precise inputs and is quite unforgiving in compare with other helicopters.
