I just uninstalled both and reinstalled advanced but still complains my license is invalid.
Have you deleted the REX7 folder?
Nope, where is that folder usually?
In your Documents folder - or onedrive/documents. It contains a profile.json. Backup this, it btw. contains your license key. Then delete the folder, start acuseason and use right side for new registration.

since i upgraded to rex accuseasons my trees look really blurry,like theres a haze around them,anyone else have this problem,and did you find a solution?ive played around with the settings but to no avail

Def something weird going on. I suspected the restore button but no. 
Was there an answer to this? I have both icons on my desktop and both installed in Start menu apps now. Is it OK to delete the old one?
Bought the original on Orbx, got the prompt for downloading the new one last night from Rex direct but that requires a serial key - canāt see that I get a serial key with the Orbx purchase. Can I get this or better to wait for Orbx to offer the Advanced Version and, I assume, a free upgrade to that?
Look in this thread, you have to find your REX6 folder in documents, it contains a profile.json which contains your license key.

I finally had some time for a longer flight, did the 2nd leg of the North Adriatic Bush trip. A lot of vegetation, and it all look sooo much nicer than the default.
Iām happy with this.

This was my issue as well. I found out we can go to documents\rex6\rexaccuseason and edit the profile.xml. The serial number is there and we can use that to register the new product for free. The new installation will be outside of ORBX. You can download the advanced edition installation file when you open the standard accuseason. Remember to uninstall the standard version before via ORBX and make sure you donāt have anything left in the community.

And the upgrade guide also says you shall restore the MSFS files prior to uninstalling the old version.
When I restore the ground textures (within Rex) the runways still color brown. They only turn back to concrete when I disable Rex AC.
Not sure how safe it is to disable UAC. On top of that needing us to tinker inbound/outbound firewall settings. The only setting I am comfortable with is the adding the folder exclusion LOL. All this just to make sure it is running fine after install.
Lets hope they fix this license key issue.

There is nothing safe in disabling UAC. Thatās another reason Iām not buying this unless they stop asking to disable it. No other addon I have asks me to disable UAC and all the security sites (including Microsoft) recommend not to do it.

I have to say, as someone who was interested in buying this product and has been following the forum, I donāt believe Iāve seen as much installation angst for anything in many years. I think Iāll sit this one out until installation is smoothā¦
Once, a while back, I was part of a beta team for an XP11 add-on and I think the biggest difficulty that team had, in all the issues they needed to iron out, was getting installation, registration, and anti-pirating issues ironed out. Took monthsā¦
