Hi Mike, at the risk of sounding pedantic, SU10 is Sim Update 10, not Service Update 10. I notice Rob from PMDG using that as well. Anyways, thanks for the update. Still really happy with AccuSeason
Hi BenMapp. The change behind the scenes took place a few days ago. All that would need to happen is for the user to either apply a preset, or for the automated dynamic seasons task run if that task is enabled.
Hi Mike, sorry for going off topic here a bit but I have been wondering if SU10 now allows for adding historical weather into the sim like we used to have with Rex WX. Would be great to finally fly in different parts of the world with weather matching the time of day.
If you want it to be automatic, then yes, just install, select automatic and pick the start time. Ensure you have the correct community folder location specified.
If your PC is on during the update time, the program will load and pull down the updates. Since I can’t guarantee my PC will be on, I changed the windows scheduled task it creates to run at log on that way every time I logon I get the updates.
Is it possible the Accuseasons is more efficient than the default MSFS trees? I did as complete SIM reinstall and couldn’t get my FPS back to what it was prior to install. I added Rex accuseasons and runways back then my FPS went back up to normal about 5 or so FPS. This is after about an hour or 2 of testing.
Hi Everyone. Wanted to give you all a heads up that we will be releasing Terrain Coloring soon. This will include the United States and Canada, the United Kingdom, as well as most of Europe including Scandinavian countries and we plan on expanding into other regions.
To start we will have coloring for Early Autumn, Mid-Autumn, Late Autumn, and Winter and terrain coloring will be part of the automated dynamic seasons process, so the app can just select the coloring for you similar to the weekly tree coloring changes. You will also be able to select the coloring of your choice if you prefer.
Here are some screenshots from Cincinnati Municipal Airport/Lunken Field (KLUK) that show the changes in coloring during autumn and include Default, Early Autumn, Mid-Autumn, and Late Autumn (by the way, I kept the trees the same so you can see the changes in the terrain coloring):
Looks great. Does the terrain coloring have the same side effect as Bijan’s seasons where their terrain mask creates noticeable darker lines on the terrain itself, and squares in the Garmin displays?
