With pleasure! When will there be a new update? I do not know ![]()
i thought it was an update with new 'feature, then i must have misunderstood⦠![]()
Ok, I finally checked the Bijan masking again and even after SU10, it is still clearly visible tile loading around the plane. Did not yet check the high altitude representation, but I wonder if your product also suffer from this tile loading misery?
You will get that in DX12 as āSeasonsā has never been compatible with it. As Bijan appears to have disappeared off the face of the Earth that doesnāt look like itās going to change anytime soon sadly.
Although it saddens me to say it, because itās a great product that Iāve already spent a fair amount on, if he doesnāt reappear soon and REX gets terrain masking I might have to consider making the switch.
Rex is getting optional terrain masking shortly, this is confirmed above. As is their comment that the tartan grids will still be there, but less so than with the abandoned alternative.
Yeah, perhaps I wasnāt clear enough. I meant when they have a confirmed date rather than just āitās comingā.
Also, I donāt think the guy I was replying to was talking about the tartan squares. With Bijanās terrain masking, in DX12, you get these weird affects of bleed through and the masking visibly drawing along the ground in front of you. This is why itās not compatible with DX12.
I have it in DX11ā¦
Do you use a rolling cache? If so try deleting it and rebuilding.
Iām pretty certain itās not a Seasons thing but something with SU10.
many thanks for your update, does it mean, it will be available as an update in the near Future ![]()
They said āsoonā, so in the scheme of things, when you consider the timeline from the Big Bang via dinosaurs to now, Iād suggest that is in the ānear futureā.
Nope, no rolling cache and not related to SU10, I already informed Bijan about this bug some days after he introduced the terrain masks in his tool. Seems nothing can be done about it, at least he never found a solution. That is why I eagerly would like to now if Accuseason masks suffer from the same or if REX found I way around this issueā¦
Thatās very odd.
Iām using the same product in the same sim and I have never seen this problem in DX11. Iāve got the 40-100 mask installed at the moment and it works without problem.
I was flying some random places yesterday (Austria north of Graz, and south France between Marseille / Saint-Tropez) and noticed some strange things on the ground. Not sure if itās what youāre talking about here but there were patches of very low detail and out of focus satellite imagery (like it went into offline mode just for these small areas, probably no bigger than a mile in length and 1/5th that width).
And some areas within those patches made up of very noticeable square tiles with non-matching edges, but still really low resolution and soft colours. Everything on top was ghosted (roads just like a 20% white rectangle, buildings floating, no trees) and it just looked really weird.
Maybe you are just not aware of it? So far, all I told about it were able to see it sooner or later. It is especially visible if you fly around in a mountainous region, e.g. Switzerland above farmland. If you want, I can share some screenshots I took over a year ago, it is still the sameā¦
Here you go, screenshots I took last October
Hi Everyone. Wanted to post a couple images of something we have been working on. Roads and airport pavement with snow cleared from them.
Looks great, Mike. I have absolutely no regrets that I bought AccuSeason.
Nice. Please, keep up that excellent FPS performance.
Brilliant! nice to see your all hard at work improving this already great mod
thanks for the update post.
Any words on the tile issue I posted? Do you see this with your solution as well?
Hi Ank. In the flying I have done, I have not noticed the tiling issue too much, but I have seen it in some scenarios as this is inherent to how MSFS renders graphics like this. At times I have seen tiling in the distance and sometimes, closer to the airplane but this specifically seems rather faint in appearance. It does seem like tiling is less since SU10 was released, so maybe Asobo did something to positively affect this, which I hope is the case. Thanks.
