Well looks like Asobo got it working for FS24. I guess REX hit the same limitations Bijan did with his old seasons package, he used some sort of overlay to make the world look more brown in winter but it never looked right to me and I had it disabled.
Here’s one thing they can fix though: I have the app set up to automatically launch every day to apply the weather presets which is fine but when the app launches it sometimes steals focus from other things, like games I’m playing in a full-screen borderless window. I wish it would just launch ‘silently’ and not steal focus like that.
Thing is, I use it right through Autumn, Winter and a good chunk of the Spring and it works just fine. It used to have issues in DX12 but I no longer see those.

I am also wondering, especially considering the fact that the ground tile shader was announced for beginning of 2023 and now we have mid July and still not a single word about this. Wonder what happened to it…
They’re alive and well on their discord. I get an announcement email on Discord once a week or more from them posting an announcement to Discord. Talking about the REX group/Reed Stough. They have weekly open mic conversations about their progress/products/ and various FS topics.
i bought rex accuseason because bijan abandoned his product two years ago. Bijan had the merit of perfecting the world through multiple local improvements. I was hoping that rex, much less realistic than bijan, would improve his product with multiple updates. Actually no. Nothing notable. It’s unrealistic, cartoonish, I complained about it on the rex discord and presto, immediately I was banned.
I removed accuseason and put bijan back. So much more varied and realistic.
So if you have to make a choice while waiting for the 2024 msfs seasons, bijan is even better, by far.
@MikeFS11 Just a word on the color of trees in NE USA. I am a happy Accuseason user, but there is an immersion killer in simulated tree colors. In the Spring, I noticed that you have (in “Bloom” IIRC) some blue flowered trees, not many but a few. Certainly not as many as Bijan had (he must have loved jacarandas), but blue attracts the eye in Nature. There are NO blue flowered trees in the NE USA. Only white, pink and an occasional red. In the Fall, the NE is noted for the bright, bright, red and orange Maples everywhere, as well as some light yellow. I don’t know what country you are from, but Leaf Peeping is a real thing here in Oct. There are no trees with your sort of orange until about mid Nov. Anything you can do for us, as you did for the SE?
Testing cycle can take between 1 week to 1 month. Putting together marketing material is at least a minimum of a month. That includes all the graphics for ALL vendors (5 different store requirements), user manuals, email and social media, etc. A lot still to do, but we are VERY VERY close.
