I used to free look using to hold right click. But it is gone after the update. I have changed it to Legacy under Accessibility. That dot center of the screen is gone, but right click still not working. I must use the right analog stick with my gamepad to look.
External camera is working BTW. Right click holding works. But I need it to work in Cockpit like it was before. Does anyone know how to activate it again?
I’m having a similar issue. I use right mouse hold to look around, but now when holding down to look around I get no input from my joystick the aircraft…
The user notes that apparently not many people read suggest there is a legacy mode that avoids the new Lock Look mode.
Ah ha, that’s what this, you’re all locking on some avionic or other bit, and not realizing it because nobody reads release notes. I hope that’s it anyway.
If Legacy mode is not working, then I imagine that’s a bug. But I still think the problem is related to (perhaps poor implementation of) the new lock mode.
Update here. So I figured out why the right click looking is not working. Controller deadzone has messed up in last update. And while the sim detects input from the controller it won’t let right click looking. So you have to cut the continuous input detection first. Increase the RS deadzone for controller in order to be able right click looking.
Now right click is working for me. But there is still some bugs there. For example that center dot has returned. I could not find a way to remove it.
There is some workaround on this I discovered, you have to enter drone mode and return back to cockpit. Dot goes then. But the moment you decide to use your mouse, the dot will be back after you switch back to controller.
So this update has messed up for the “hybrid peripheral” users. It seems you have to use only kb+mouse or only controller in order to avoid these bugs for now. I hope they release a hotfix will very soon.
