Is there a way to have the NavAids and RNav shown in the flight planning map to default to on? If I change whether clouds etc. are shown, they remain that way next time I start the game. Yet the RNAV and Navaids are ALWAYS off, so I have to switch the display on. Minor I know but irritating nonetheless.
I’m new to flight simulation so generally plan my flight via one of these so it’s kind of lined up for approach
There is a workaround.
Go to your Install Folder then → \Official\OneStore\fs-base\worldmap, make a backup of the worldmap.xml (just in case) in there, then open it and edit the individual entries.
Search for
TT:MENU.WORLD_FILTER_TYPE_NAVAID_DESC
two lines underneath there is the line
OnOff>OFF</OnOff
change the OFF in the middle to ON
Search for
TT:MENU.WORLD_FILTER_TYPE_RNAV_FIX_DESC
two lines underneath there is the line
OnOff>OFF</OnOff
change the OFF in the middle to ON
You probably have to redo this after a patch.
