RNAV & ILS IAF vs. "User" waypoint

Looking for insight:

Flight plan - Procedure planning, when either an ILS or RNAV approach selected, why is the IAF converted to a “generic” “USER” waypoint, vs. the actual beginning IAF of an approach ?

I can confirm the approach is correctly selected and loaded, but the initial IAF is usually / always converted in the flight plan to "USER - with the 2nd waypoint then appearing accurately. Why ?

It’s a shortcoming of the MSFS Flightplanner and soon a bug of the past. FBW and WT have already published early versions of their new FPs.

Thanks - understood.
