Interesting. @EmergencyNICK could be right that it’s to do with layers. Have you looked at the bing maps to make sure they aren’t exhibiting the same behavior?
To me roads are messed up. In some areas like Azores islands there’s a mix of painted over satellite texture roads, transparent layer roads and asphalt layer roads, even in the same area.

This seems like it gets worse with each update. Many green roads on my flight from KTEK to KPGA today. Even the road to Monument valley visitor center.
And here is the Grand Canyon Dam bridge with the road to it green (and also dropping into the canyon even though the bridge is modeled).

It must be the source imagery. In XP TE Great Britain had a lot of green roads.

I saw green roads of Bing Maps south of Chicago lately, they look awful.
Are those green roads / highways across the US only or has anyone seen them elsewhere in the world ?
I have green roads in the Eastern US for many roads. Looks terrible. Not sure if the latest patch addresses it.

Yep, I’ll concur, East Coast US is awful for green roads. I think it’s basically created because so many roads have trees overhanging them, and the color is leaking in from color correction tools. But, why aren’t all roads just asphalt colors? Why color correct them? Then again, why would roads in the desert be green??? There might be a technical reason for it, but, given they know they are roads, should be maybe easy to fix…? Maybe it’s just low in their priority list to fix? Has anyone reported it? I haven’t yet.

Yep, this has been there at least since the launch. All of the roads surrounding my hometown and airport (EFKI) are green, in the town central also. Looks nothing like the real thing when flying over the town, in real world I can easily navigate with landmarks and roads to fly over my house, in game it’s just impossible at this time.
Probably the biggest disappointment of this game for me. I bought a new computer because of this game, new yoke and rudder-pedals, deluxe version invested. Propably somewhere around 4ke total invested for this game and I’ve stopped playing 2 weeks after release. It just isn’t what was advertised before launch.
I’m patient though, regularly trying (toxicity is/was overwhelming at time) to read these forums.
Took a USA road trip from Page, AZ to Las Vegas, NV in the Cessna 172. The whole way noticed the roads were GREEN.
PLEASE, last I checked all the roads I’ve ever been on are BLACK. I imagine this is a global issue with MSFS.
Also noticed several images of vehicles on roadways, probably from satellite imaging. Would be nice if these were removed some how.

This is actually a universal problem, so I have changed the title of the post but kept the example you gave, as that is an excellent screenshot.
Update: After the latest imagery update, many tiles that are shown on the update map are still green:-(

Please fix. US east and west coast has this, at the very least.
Assuming this is still an issue. Is it only in specific areas or widespread? Could you provide general or specific locations. Looking to escalate on my end.

I’ve heard this can be seen in many different places but I’ve seen a lot of it near Stockholm in Sweden. Nearby airports are ESSA and ESSB

The green roads issue might be specific to some places but the issue of low resolution roads is widespread.
Did you ever figure this out, I am getting the same problem out of nowhere? Thanks for the help
