Roads and streets are green and low resolution

or better yet, if road [ Bing Maps, or Open Street Map ], then pavement.

Are there any mods that address this, other than those that Taburet put out? I heard those are garbage.

The green streets are caused by the colour filter gradient used to unify the colour and exposure of the patchwork of satellite imagery used coming off bing.

Asobo have only said they’ve got a R&D department looking at various issues the sim has.

Don’t hold your breath for it getting fixed but it would be great if it did.

I feel that. These are supposed to be city streets and they look like a dirt road

Yup. That is how they look in the sim.

Jeez, addressed on april of 21 and they still dont have it fixed

I think many of these bugs are being punted to MSFS 2024 at best, sadly.

ive resorted to flying with some snow and live weather off when the green gets too bad, the snow covers the roads at around 3.0 setting, makes the colours look alot more balanced

also another tip to reduce the green as much as possible, in usercfg.opt ensure colorgrading = 0 this will remove some of the lime colour.

Another option is to purchase bijan seasons add on for msfs, it includes some terrain masks which removes the green

Taken from the bijan seasons video^^

I would like to revive this topic, since the green Bing map shades spoil a lot of VFR fun in my area (South of the Netherlands). Worse, in the light of a sunset the landscape turns to an all muddy brown mess. It is much more difficult to navigate in the sim than flying real life.
Look for example at the colors of the Rotterdam city (not so bad but still greenish) and then at the colors of the surrounding scenery (ugly green): Bing Maps - Directions, trip planning, traffic cameras & more
