Deleted it prior to the WU update, but now won’t let me add it back. Says 8 isn’t a numerical value or something then switches it off. No way to add it back. Any ideas?
I deleted and redefined my without any problems.
Numerical value not valid. I think it’s broken. On a separate drive.
does not work
Had this as well and it does seem to be a bug. Try picking a different size than the one you had before…
I use a 16GB Rolling Caches with no problems. (NVME M.2 drive)
I have had this since the latest Sim update. Too solve it I delete the cache file physically in explorer view starting the sim again and set up the rolling cache. Hope that helps.
I have found since one of the recent sim updates that I am unable to create a rolling cache file unless it is 10gb or greater. Any single digit file size gives me an error.
Same here after SU8, i think Data Settings is completely broken after last update and this is causing the blurry terrain issues, can´t set rolling cache or manual cache below 10GB(2 digits) without receive “selected size for the rolling cache is not a valid numeric value” message, the sims appears is not downloading or reading data correctly causing blurry terrain issues even with rolling cache set.
The same Here…since SU8
Set it to 8.0 and it works.
Just Wondering. Is rolling cache actually worth activating?
Not for me.
With SU9 it appears that once again the rolling cache limit will accept a value of 8 without throwing up an error. (No longer need to use the 8.0 as an entry in that field work around)
