Rotary Buttons Interractions

Hi there,

As a follow-up to my Zendesk ticket, i post this request here.

Said request is to change the way the rotary buttons are interracted with in the sim (especially the heading bug).

As of today, when you use the scroller of your mouse, it increments the selected heading by +/-5 for each “click” made by the scroller. To change increments to +/- 1, you have to left click on the correct side of the rotary.
This is very un-friendly to use as well as annoying and inefficient at best.

My recommendation would be to set a “law” that increments by +/- 1 with each “click” of the mouse scroller BUT changes to +/- 5 (or 10) when multiple “clicks” are recorded very quickly. It would be way more user friendly and efficient to use it that way. Also, please remove the decimal in the heading value displayed by the “bubble” when the mouse pointer is hovering above the heading bug, it’s not required, just round it up to the nearest plain number.
For the Altitiude, same concepts but increments from 100 to 1000 at each “click” from the scroller.
V/S does not need to change.

Thank you for you work, keep it on !

What aircraft are you talking about? In the A320 it seems buttons only change 1 / click.
I really hated it in FS2004 when multiple clicks quickly followed by each other resulted in large increments. It meant that you often overshot your target.

Mainly the CJ and Latitude. Others do it too, TBM for example.

A, yeah, i understand what you are saying, so back to the old 1 “click” = + 1 at the Heading or +100 at the alt ?
