okay so i’ve just installed a RTX 2080ti in my system and when i try and install a driver it flickers like normal then static for a second and finishes the setup. but it’s not installing the driver has anyone else had the same issue?
First, check if it’s seated properly in the PCIe slot.
Did you buy it new or second hand?
second hand already checked if it’s seated properly
Have you got the required number of power leads connected and is your PSU up to the job of supplying it?
yes it’s all connected 2 x8 pin also 850w PSU

Looks like you have hardware installation covered. May want to run DDU and see if that unsticks the OS. If that doesn’t work then you may have to get more drastic and try an OS wipe and if that doesn’t work your looking at an RMA or return to seller situation.
done all of the above, I’m going to send it back to CEX (UK) either for a replacement or refund thanks you anyway. so would i still get the same out come if i went out and bought a display port cable or usb c cable?

If you consider RMA, I’d not start flashing the bios.
It should never be required to make it run and in worst case you could brick it which would make RMA more complicated.
just a question, is your card used or new ? did you have a Nvidia before ?

I’m afraid, as it is second hand, that there is no solution, I’ve had many cards going from Nvidia to radeon, even had the 2 in the same pc, without ever any concern, tried to remove the drivers completely via the device panel of your capture, downloaded the Nvidia drivers on the Nvidia site. If you have already done this, I don’t think there is a solution, and if there is, a workaround, it’s coll, but it’s not normal, it’s that your card is not reliable.
