Rudder issues still a year on

I know this has been posted about before but I still haven’t found a solution and it still isn’t fixed in the sim.
Rudder - whether I use my thrustmaster joystick or pedals to move the rudder it will get stuck very often. So if I am moving to the right and move my controller back to the middle the rudder will stick to the right.

Another issue is leaving the rudder centre and speeding up at 30-40kts the plane (any of the default ones or third parties) will move to either the right or left with no rudder input at all.

I have gone through and tested all this by removing all connected controllers and trying just KB+M. The same issues still happen. Ths is also now a brand new PC and Windows install.

Has anyone had these issues and if so were you able to resolve them?

The issue of plane moving sideways with rudder centered is not a bug but a real physical effect. Two things can cause it: thrust increased too fast (specially significant on tailwheelers but still noticeable on some single engine propellers) or nose naturally willing to point to the crosswind direction.

You need to correct nose movements with rudder to prevent that and slowly accelerate until tailwheel raises in the case of tailwheelers before speeding up for takeoff or it will put you totally out of runway.

Cheers

Interesting. I did mainly test in the cessna 172 and DA162. To be fair I’m not a real world pilot and if the sim is that realistic and I am not realising it then that is fair enough.

The rudder sticking though is I think an issue with the software. How devices respond like when moving the stick it doesnt always respond right away and then will act after a nudge or two.

With a prop plane that is real world behavior. You need to give considerable rudder input to go in a straight line during take-off.

That seems like a binding issue. Is your rudder input bound to an axis or to rudder inc and rudder dec?
