Rudder on Take Off and Landing

Hi Everyone.

During take off and landing with most of aircraft my rudder is extremely on the left. during taxi it’s seem alright.

I know that i need to take the P factor into consideration but not at this point I guess.

I use the rudder pedals from saitek and i tried to change all the sensitivity, neutral and deadzone but nothing change.

Any recommendation?

Many thanks.

Hi yeah this is a common problem. I have Saitek rudder and I set sensitivity to -2 and null to -2 seems to work for me. But it may be you just have to keep adjusting to find your good spot

Same here, also the same rudders.

As I do not hear -everybody- complain about this I wonder if it’s just with the combination of these specific rudders.

With the Japan update it was possible to use them during take-off but (for me) now with the USA update it is as bad as it was before Japan update.

Anyway… I don’t like it but setting the autorudder on take-off is the only option for me. Taxiing is fine…

Saitek pedals have a resolution of 9bits, I believe.
That translates into 512 steps. The X/Y axis are 12 bit so 4096 steps. 8 x more sensitive.
If you have a dead-zone set about 5% that knocks you down to 487 steps. If you have any curve setup at all for your pedal sensitivity you will wind up with very limited control over the first third of your pedal travel then suddenly a ■■■■ load.
Being as ground control with any breeze at all can require significant rudder movement to maintain control and feet aren’t the best at small dexterity, I strongly recommend 0% sensitivity. This can be hard to get used to but with some practice you can manage most control with just some pressure on the pedals and have significantly more control over larger inputs, reducing the tendency to overcontrol and wind up zigzagging your way down the runway.
This would also be true with pedals with much higher resolution but becomes critical with low res pedals.

Still after latest update, GA planes rudder behaves erratically: below 50-60 knots it needs a little bit of rudder to maintain the centerline. But passing a certain speed, the plane veers into the wind like crazy and needs a kick on pedals, totally unrealistic.
Any idea of when things will be issued, as I believe it is a MAJOR issue which takes away most of the realism a simulator should aim at.
At landing, same history: below a certain speed it seems like the wind effect multiplies forcing the plane fiercely into the lateral wind direction.
Everything is well known and documented, and discussed. But still not addressed by Asobo. When will it be???
